2013 ML Build Advice
I've been occasionally visitor to the forum in last 2 months or so. I was waiting for Nov/Dec deals and just started looking into ordering ML.
Need expert’s advice on the build.
1. Can someone post the 2013 ML ordering guide or point me to the link?
2. Primary user of this car will be Wifey w/90% city driving for hauling kids. I would be driving this on weekend till I get my GL450 MY14 next year. So need advice on build – which options MUST have or NICE to have? I’m still going thru various threadsJ
3. What are the various incentive available with winter event? I’ve FEP discount available and just got today control number back from MB USA.
a. Can I combine other incentives with FEP discount?
4. Any financing deals or cash back?
5. Is there list of MB incentive/discounts and what they mean? e.g Conquest (which vehicle qualify for conquest)?, Customer advocacy program, VIP program etc.
Like detail description of each discount available.
6. What is good price point for ML? Under invoice price or “X” amount over Invoice?
7. Can I do European delivery with ML?
Thanks for your advice!!
Keep going through the threads here and on the "other" MB forum and you will find many discussions about pricing/negotiating, option reviews, order guides, ordering experiences, etc.
BTW, the ML is built in the good ole USofA...Alabama.
Enjoy.

called FEP hotline today and they said none of the incentives are stackable. I saw some threads where dealer combined some of the incentive available.
Not sure how much is the incentive for ML in winter event? Do you have information on it?
BTW I'm in Seattle area. Read on the forum that Seattle area dealers doesn't have any deals. Any recommendations would be great too.
Thanks

I have heard that pricing is t the greatest in Seattle so you may have to come to SoCal or just save yourself the trouble and buy locally.

Any recommendations for california dealers who are willing to sell under invoice?
Regarding sales tax, do you know if I need to pay sales tax only during registration in WA state?
Thanks again,

I was asking about paying sales tax in CA and then during registration in WA state..
Anyways, which dealer and at what price you got ML?

Thta right there is very decent discount for most areas of the US, putting SoCal and NY to the side.
If you really want to chase out-of-area, send off a internet inquiry to some target dealers and see what they say regarding additional-discount and sales tax issues

We bought a 2013 with the following options: Dakota Brown; Premium 1 pkg; leather; 20" wheels; panorama sunroof; ParkTronic; Lane Tracking/Blind Spot Assist; Lighting Pkg; heated steering wheel; trailer hitch; pass-through seating; back-seat entertainment center pre-wiring. Came in at ~$60,820 after discounts and incentives.
Because I am on active duty and maintain my permanent residency in PA, I was able to title, tag, and register the vehicle in PA (which also included paying PA sales tax (6%) rather than paying WA sales tax (10.8%)).
Lynnwood Mercedes-Benz has done well by us so far.

Thanks for giving update on dealer and build.
Premium (Bi-Xenon) lighting.
Rear seat entertainment pre-wire. That also gets you the passenger side door mounted memory seat controls. Something I wish I had known about when we ordered for the sake of symmetry.
Trailer Hitch. For your use or for resale. After market or dealer installed after build are not good.
You own a BMW. What is the Conquest discount? If you aren't a USAA member.

Passenger seat memory (#242) is standard on ML63, but I have not found it available on the others?
The wrapped dash makes a huge difference in the interior appearance, so I would say it's worth it to push them on it.
I went through this process to get one with the ventilated seats, my #1 priority. It's taken a while due to the limited availability of leather. I'd love the MB Tex dash, if it becomes available before my build gets locked, but not at the expense of my seats.

As far as the rear-seat entertainment pre-wire, our sales person advised us to get the option because of the passenger seat memory -- we did our research, but he did even more, because I questioned him about it because I was going to cancel it from the build.
Great points Wayne.

SWMBO specifies leather. Case closed in our household. YMMV.

Didn't understand the acronyms, sorry. (SWMBO or YMMV)
YMMV: Your Mileage May Vary.
Only one way to find out for sure: Sit down with a knowledgeable sales person and build the ML 350 to your requirements. The premium lights are a given.
