Wooo-Hooo! Picked Up Today!
After a 5-month wait, I took delivery today. In response to another post, there was no separate showroom with a black sheet, but there are two smaller glass rooms just off of the main showroom with doors directly to the outside, one of which contained mine, all shined up and ready for the road!
There were no holes drilled for the front plate and as I write this the tow bar is beside me as I'm measuring it for a GoMiniGo mount in a few minutes.
Now for the big answer on ML350 Designo...
Mine is black and does indeed have the diamond quilted pattern I want. White stitching with parchment piping all around. Very nice! I thought the quilting would be a little deeper but I'm not at all displeased. Matching door panels and leather on the dash. The black Dinamica headliner looks awesome - but then I like black and having it all around is just to my taste.
Very cozy!
The only thing I'm noticing on the con side right now is that the iPod cable seems kinda short. I have an iPad and am wondering if it'll reach to the passenger seat as the tablet sure won't fit into the console.
A quick glance through the owners' manual reveals a lot of pointers to the digital copy for more information.
No photos yet as it's dark here and tomorrow may be a bit wet and sloppy. The old SUV is parked outside guarding the garage door behind which the new resident sits.
The all-weather mats are still on backorder with MB, so I may just buy direct from WeatherTech.
I've declared tomorrow a "me" day so I can explore and get stuff set up 'just right'. I hope the weather on Sunday is better so I can

Congrats! We are awaiting 'the call' on our BTec. It was supposed to arrive 12/24, but is running a bit late in transit (they say because of weather).
