2013 ML350 BT blind spot?

I have my ML since end of Jan but still try to get use to its larger size and blind spots.

My had found the steering of the ML is not precise. It's a little uncertain at low speed especially when parking. Unlike my 4runner and Lexus which I know exactly where the wheels are and the heading, I sometime over-steer the ML

The blind spot that I am having trouble is the front-right.

Anyone has the same experience about this uncertainty or wheel direction at low parking speed?

And the '99 4r had 'precise' steering? Really?

The Lexus is completely different category of car and relatively tiny.

As for your front right, it sounds like you need more time as you probably spent over a decade with the 4r, and the ML is not easy to judge with the corner.

The steering is a over-boosted, in my opinion, and lacks feel as most electrically powered systems do these days. It's something you will adapt to. The mirrors are a little small, but I hadn't noticed any particular issue with forward vision - are you saying the A-pillar blocks your view?

I like the ML steering feel more so at higher speeds but I have no problem whatsoever at low speeds. As for the front visibility and clearance in tight areas, I rely on the parktronics sensor which do a wonderful job.
I love the truck!

I found the power steering is too light in the comfort mode. I like the sport mode better as it's tighter.
I am not sure it's the A-pillar or the seating. It's not easy to find or judge where the front wheels some time on how closer to the cure/sidewalk at low speed.
I hope time will allow me to adjust to the ML.

I'm very happy with my 2013 350 BT. My past two vehicles, '07 & '10 GL450's, both had distronic. I skipped that option on my current vehicle. I don't miss it at all. This vehicle is small enough I don't feel a need for the distance sensors. The back up camera shows me everything I need to know in tight confines.

I'm sure you will get used to it in short order. Enjoy your new ride! Revel in the incredible mileage & power.

I thought the steering was a little light when I first got the ML but now that I am used to it it is OK. However I have not had to take any real evasive action with it yet so I don't really know how much feedback to expect. Just a question, how tall are you sxue and do you sit high or low? I'm 6'1, sit kinda high, and don't have much of a problem defining the front corner. As the front end does tend to slope sightly downward even an inch in height may make quite a difference.

Do you mean PARKTRONIC? DISTRONIC is the active cruise control.

I am about 5'6 and like to sit low.
I think I will try to re-adjust the seat and make it a bit higher to see if I can get a better view and feel.
I agreed with you that the front hood is sloped and dipped at the end so I could not see the front's end. Maybe this is my problem.
