New ML350 on 22" Replicas

I never liked the stock 19" wheels on my ML350 so I started looking for something better looking (IMO) and slightly larger, so I planned to go with an AMG style in a 20" (I never even considered a 22" for fear that it would look to out of place on the ML). The 20" AMG style replica wheels that I finally ordered were out of stock and the vendor offered me the 22" AMG style replica for the same price; so I reluctantly decided to go with it. I am glad I did - I love them and get a lot of compliments (see photo below). To anyone on the fence about putting 22" rims on your ML I say do it, I cannot not tell a difference in ride quality or gas mileage between the 22" and stock 19" wheel setup.
Mark

Very nice. My new ML should be ready for pick up this week. I've been reluctant of the 22" as pictures I've seen have given the truck an "out of scale" appearance. Yours is the first that looks great and to scale. Now I'm confused.

That looks very nice. What is the offset of the wheels? Are you running stock or airmatic suspension? Lastly, could you take a side and back photo and post them...

I'm interested in 20's, but this had me thinking...

These wheels are 22 x 10 / 48 offset on 285/35 R22 Tires.
I am running with the stock suspension not the airmatic suspension.

Looks good! If you want more pics check out my album on my profile. I've gotten used to mine. And size just works it is not overpowering at all. Ride is great, but I'm on air suspension.

Mark,

Looks awesome!!!

If you have time could you take a few more pictures from different angles?

Also, what brand tires are you running?

Could you send me a PM with the vendor information for the wheels?

Thanks!!!

Any chance to see more pictures from multiple angles. I'm interested in the appearance of tire to wheel well gap with such a low profile tire.
It would be much appreciated!!

Is that your 550? Did you had a badge off an AMG to your fender?

Your dealer put those on? Did you ask for them? I have always thought that unless you have an AMG don't badge it to look like you do. Do each there own.

I don't have the AMG badge I HAVE the v8 twin turbo engine so I put those badges on the side. If you pay for 460hp why not flaunt it

Oh was that badge ever used on non AMG cars? That would be like you added fake AMG wheels you should also have a AMG badge? I laugh at cars with incorrect badges. Those that know the badges laugh those that don't could care less. Doesn't sound to me like anything is be flaunted. I have no intention to make you feel bad I just really can't stand badges that don't belong on a car.

Check the specs of the 2014 ml 550. It is a 4.6L twin turbo v8 engine. No AMG badges here just a badge showing engine type. Same engine as the newer s 550's etc.
I would think someone with an AMG car would know their Benzes a little better

Dont worry I don't feel bad.
I am one of those people who laughs at AMG badges here in LA everyday.
I'm just stating facts on the engine type and dressing up the horribly designed fender. We had a 2012 ml350 and I couldn't stand how it looked bare. As a real car enthusiast, I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't get to drive a car with this power on a daily basis. It is a pleasant surpise to see what it can do. But it does suck on gas! At least I'll have this car for just 2 years enjoy it and move on.
