Speedo error..
I have a few ios apps that give me GPS generated speeds and notice my speedo reads higher...at 120 kph it's 4-5 kph out..stock tires and wheels...anyone else have results ?

I have a speed readout via GPS on my Escort Passport max that matches my speedo exactly.
BTW, I finally ordered the VBox sport and it should be here next week. I'll see how that compares to the speedo when I get a chance.

I'll switch to mph on the ml and see if that makes a diff,,,shoot me your vbox results !!

Yes, I ordered an F-type R that should be here in July. Looking forward to it, which is why I ordered the Vbox. :-)
On racelogic's website, there's a note dated 5/17 saying that the iOS app has been updated to support iOS 7.1.1

Nope you read that wrong..no fix for f/w..just for performance app not good for us unless I didn't find the correct site...links pls...

Just the lap timer app works but not iOS running 7.1.1 at least that's how I read it...no f/w upgrade to dl either

Checked my speedo against my Garmin GPS and the readout was exactly the same. Probably the first vehicle I've had that was dead on. Most cars I've had were 2-3 mph off, usually low.

I initially tried my iPhone 5 and while it connected to the Vbox, it wouldn't send any data. I pulled an old iPhone 3GS out of my junk drawer and am using that for now until they figure out how to support iOS 7.1.1
I haven't had a chance to do any good 0-60 or 1/4 mile runs yet... too much traffic and too many cops around my house plus I live in the hills so not a lot of straight, flat areas. Hopefully this weekend I'll have time to drive somewhere more isolated so I can do some runs. I was planning on getting a Weistec tune in a couple weeks while I'm on vacation so I wanted to get some before/after runs in.

Looks like you were spot on with your prediction for post-tune times. I'm having difficulty getting a good launch from start, so I think I can do even better than this with some practice.
The guys at Weistec were great to work with and they even re-programmed the Eco button for me so that it remembers it's last state when you start the car i.e. it doesn't always default back to Eco mode on every time you start :-)

Now change the puffers ..add downpipes and look for high 3's...crazy fast for a 5k lb tank

The Eco button disable is built-in to the Weistec tune. It's a new feature that they can add to the tune if you ask for it.
I'm trying to left-foot brake the launch (rev to around 2000-3000 rpm) but the car doesn't seem to like that. The run above is from just mashing the throttle from a dead stop.

I did change the filters at the same time. Not sure I'll do the downpipes or a turbo upgrade. I'm not out to build the fastest ML, just looking for more fun than stock :-)

Yup I found the same..you can't load boost...best is as you did..full throttle and let it shift
