My new 2015 ML250 BlueTEC has a second filler along side the fuel tank filler in the rear fender. Should be easy to add DEF.

What does MB dealer charge for this service?

Hailers2, you are missing a some of things on your list. There is the alimony for six ex-wives and their kids, regardless of whose kids they really are.

Ad Blue from Walmart will cost considerably less than a dealer fill-up.

Everything else you would like to know on this topic has been covered in umpteen threads over the years.

Many who drive the BT have no ideas what the "second filler" is for and do not care to learn. it is your choice to fill it yourself or have the dealer do so at a little extra cost. Either way the cost should not be a factor in a person's choice to go BT.

My dealer charges $199 for the basic "A" service (oil and filter change, top all fluids and reset of computers), and another $132 to refill DEF. Needless to say, I handle the DEF refills myself.

$132 is robbery and I do not think that all the dealers charge the same.

Thx for the replies. I always do the easy refills myself. Will add this 1 to my list.

It is not a big deal as the AdBlue lasts for a long time and it is insignificant when compared to the price of the vehicle.
