2012 ML 350 bluetec oil leak fixed under warranty
Luckily I still have one year left for the warranty; otherwise, I would have been charged couple thousands easily. The dealer need my car 5 days for the fix. Attached are the statements if you are interested.

My indie was working on an out of warranty GL BlueTec with an oil leak from around the turbo. The engine and engine compartment need to be about half dismantled to access and fix the problem. It's a real nightmare!

That's probably the infamous oil cooler seal repair. Yep.... also over $3K out of warranty. Takes days to repair since it sits on top of the engine block and everything has to come off to get to it.

Since my warranty has one year left. I think the extended warranty for another three year is a must if you want to keep the ML for long but it's another CAD $3000.

Oil cooler leak
I think we all should do something because in the US they are bringing a civil action against MBUSA. We all know about this problem and MBC is laughing at us!
I had the same problem in February, the infamous Orange gasket broke and oil came from the oil cooler, it's under warranty but if you go to wiki, the problem is known by MB since they started the production of this engine back in 2005! Common! 10 years after and we still have to pay for this incompetency!!!!

I thought the newer purple viton seals fixed this problem in 2010 ? Obviously - the problem still exists today. Whats the explanation ? I originally thought it was simply a case of inferior choice of seal design material. But now, it seems its more of an overall bad design. My suspicion is that the expansion of the oil cooler during warmups and cooldown is not the same as the engine block. In bigger engines/equipment - there should be an expansion joint that should take care of this expanding/shrinking of different materials. My second theory is overheating. It may just be too hot in that part of the engine. But I did not realize Canadians having the same problem since its colder there.

Status on any class action or remedies, please? I'm experiencing a Mercedes nightmare currently. My 2010 ML350 BLUETEC's engine just seized at 82K miles, all after regular dealer maintenance in Montana and after several major dealer repairs since 2010 (including AdBlue heater and oil cooler seal leak @ approx. 65K miles, leading to catastrophic engine failure last week). Mercedes says they'll do nothing to assist, so my attorney is sending them a Demand Letter tomorrow. I'm happy to join forces with others of you who are experiencing, or have experienced, similar issues with Mercedes!
I bought this car new, was my first Mercedes, and I followed proper steps whenever a warning light came on. Ironically, not a single warning light was on before or during the engine seizing. MBUSA has denied me assistance, as has the dealer. I'm reading everywhere of similar oil leaking / pressure issues with this engine. I have a list of major dealer repairs I had done since I bought this car new. I would expect MBUSA to accept accountability and am really disappointed so far in MBUSA.

Oil leak bills
Can everyone please attach their bill to this tread, I'm talked to a lawyer in NY and he told me we can do something about this, but he needs a lot of cases. Be sure to hide all your personal info when you attach the files. Hopefully we can be reimbursed somehow by MBUSA!!

Guys, this is not good. My 2013 Ml350 bluetec with 65k miles is leaking oil very slowly for the past month and the car is running fine without check engine light. But i am taking it in to my indie mechanic to get it looked at and serviced. The oil seems to be leaking from rear of engine compartment and I seriously hope its not the oil cooler. The car is out of warranty and we have 5 months and 10k miles before we turn it so I hope the indie mechanic can find a good way to fix it.

Has anyone applied the TSB bulletin for the out of warranty repair of the oil cooler leak? Our 2013 Ml350 has 70k miles and 2 months left of lease and the car is leaking oil fast and I have gotten quote of 5k from independent mechanic but what I am seeing is around 2k to 3k from mercedes online. I have found a TSB for the oil cooler and I dont know if my dealer would do a goodwill.
The TSB is: LI18.30-P-055434

Folks,
let us collect the data on the Bluetec. I have search ~40 cars on cars.com and found 20 cars with leaks and torn seats (from CarFax report on the site). Please add your car or any you know to the list. There is no such record of engine failure for any other car in the industry. M-B should recall the bluetecs and offer full repair and warranty.
As a Material Scientist, I was stunned by the choice of material in that gasket. I never suspected anyone in Germany (one of the top countries in materials engineering) would do such a mistake rather than by Mercedes-Benz who has over 80 years of experience with diesel engines and have actually produced the best diesel engines in the world. Worse, the gasket is located deep in the engine that it would take a skilled technician between 25 to 35 hours to repair it, according to experts!M-B should have not used anything but metal gasket in that location.
Here is the list, please add yours and submit your case to the Attorney General
