Hi all,
Does/has anyone else experienced issues with Park Assist Inoperative, 360 degree camera faults where it fails to operate at all, even if promoted when stationary and using a favourite button, screen flickering between front and rear cameras etc.
I have taken it to the dealer but they assure me they can't find any faults. It is a 2014 ML250BT.

Have this option on my 2015 ML250BT. Works well. Do you get the small arrow on your dash screen indicating that you have a suitable parking spot? If not,the system will not function.

On my car, it often doesn't find a suitable parking space even though it should have, and the arrow doesn't light up therefore it will not offer to park my car.
Basically, if it sees a space it works well... but it doesn't see very many spaces.

Mine seems to like a "generous" size space otherwise it won't work. I can squeeze into tight spaces that the system won't accept.
This fault appears when you first start the car. I am aware how it works when operating properly, just get these random instances where it won't work.
It's frustrating as I can't replicate the fault for the dealer, I do have video of the issue.

So the car is at the dealers for the week.
List of issues to investigate are as follows ;
Park Assist Inoperativ
Flickering 360 degree camera system (gets confused which camera to display)
Poor reverse camera visibility at night, too dull to use in an environment you are unfamiliar with. In laws C250 AvantGarde works beautifully.
Jerky up shift at low acceleration (mainly between 2nd and 3rd gear)
Unable to dim instrument cluster lighting.
Climate control temp and fan speed erratic, blows hot and cold air randomly. As though the thermostat is faulty.
Intelligent lights cutting off low beam very low, as in a defined line that limits your vision as though the lights are angled too low and require adjustment.
I will be intrigued to see what they find.
Also, it says Service A is due. Car has only done 6,500km. Is this a bit premature? I had hoped to get more distance travelled before requiring the first service.

I have similar issues with park assist. I've had the car for a couple months now and I've probably only seen that arrow twice. I just park the car myself like I've always done.

The Park Assist Inoperative comes up when starting the car. When the warning doesn't come up it works fine. I learnt the other day you can use Park Assist to EXIT the park as well.Originally Posted by chrislk55
