I just did my winter tire swap and here are a couple tips for you keeners
1) NEVER use the fancy dancy MB (or other) metal valve stem caps..you'll look real cool until you have to remove them to adjust tire pressure...the metal welds itself to the valve stem and this is what you get...either a stripped stem or the end snaps off..
2) THIS idea is a real back saver...an absolute must for these heavy 21/20 inch wheels that use studs rather than lug nuts..ebay and you really only need one
Yup... Wheels with TPMS have metal stems not the rubber ones and the 2 metals do corrode together. That's why they come with plastic stem caps that have been painted silver.
Save your money.........A 'wheel alignment bolt' is in the spare wheel compartment. From the Operating Manual wheel changing page: X Slide the wheel to be mounted onto the alignment bolt and push it on.
X Tighten the wheel bolts until they are fingertight.
X Unscrew the alignment bolt.
