Turn signals randomly quit working - Yikes!

Going to replace the Multi-Function Switch since it seems to have helped others here, doesn't seem like a SAM issue. I looked at it with Xentry, there was some obscure code, but no clear indicator of "this thing is bad"

On my 2012 Bluetec, I got the same "Blind Spot Assist Inoperative" message, and the turn signals weren't working too. Came to the forum here, searched for "Blind Spot Sensor" problems and read that other electrical systems acted up as well. I figured that since I hadn't changed my auxiliary battery since I bought the car new 7.5 years ago (I had changed the main battery about 3 years ago), I'd start with changing the auxiliary battery. Got myself a Duracell 12V 1.3Ah SLA battery from the local Batteries Plus store. Was a 30-45 minute job to install the battery - thanks to the info on the forum here - and what do you know; the Blind Spot Assist Inoperative message disappeared and the turn signals work
. A day later and no problems with the BSA and the turn signals. Fingers crossed. Hope the steering control module fails on me much later...or never.

I also owned a 2002 MB C240 also had issue with no turn off head and tail lights at one side. That means the problem was with MB at least from 2002 to 2014 to my experience.
I read menkantor's posts:
I'm having this issue on a 2013 GL, sometimes even the gear selection lever doesn't work. Power cycle with door open/close tends to clear it, but still dangerous, especially if you don't realize there is an issue with the indicators and take off.

Also menkantor mentioned in his other posts he replaced the multi-Function Switch once and he also said he going to replace it again... He also said it is the problem with software I think he was right, that is the problem from programing, because menkantor replaced the MFS once and it was okayed for a while and the problem was back.
I think MB should look back at their software and should recall to keep their cars safe.
Thank you menkantor and all people in this forums for all information you posted here.
