ML350 or ML400 What tires do you use?

What tires do you like on your ML350 or ML400

I am looking to buy a new set of tires to replace the Continental cross contact LX sport on the SUV currently (265 45R20 108H).
The tires are at their wear bars after only 28,000 miles.

what i would suggest is the Michelin's as the above poster suggested, i did the same on mine for the rear two tires, or if you wanna break the bank
go with continental tires, which are the priciest ones out there. If you have a costco membership go through there

I am using Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus, and currently no complain after 15K miles.

In the same boat but with the regular 19" tires. Tirerack did some testing and both the Pirelli and the Michelin came out on top in different tests. Looking at the actual test data suggests the Michelin may be the better tire for my location/situation. Much better wet performance, dry performance and braking.

Michelin Test - https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests...y.jsp?ttid=203

Pirelli Test - https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests...y.jsp?ttid=229

I went to the Michelin website and they do not list
Michilin premier LTX 275 45 20
for my car?

I am deciding between the Pirelli listed by MBSang and the Michelin listed by Snowbird ...

I am just wondering why Michelin or Tirerack do not list Michelin at all for my car?

I have used 275 45 20. On 2 ML 350's, no issues
maybe its a legal issue

I use the OEM Dunlops (2015 RWD, w AMG Trim 19 inch). I got 42,000 miles on the 1st set, so why pay more?

The Contis you have are sticky, high performance summer tires made specifically for a heavy SUVs like the ML and with additional reinforcement belts in the tire carcass that Mercedes wants put in for added safety (hence the MO designation), and them lasting 28K miles (45K km) is par for the course. I suspect that if you don't care about performance, braking distance or the extra piece of mind you could go with something longer-lasting, but going by that logic you could also go with a Ford Explorer instead of a Merc.

I'm leaning to towards the Pirelli's. They have great reviews for performance, braking distance and ride.

While the Pirellis certainly do grip and drive well, if you thought that getting 28K miles out of a set was on the short side you may be in for a rather nasty surprise with Pirellis. Michelins and Continentals are at the top of the pecking order. The only other tires I'd consider for the ML are Toyo PROXES ST II which come in the required 265/45R20XL 108V size and load / speed rating. Realistically speaking, those are your only three choices.

The Continental Conti4x4Contact also comes in the proper 265/45R20XL 108V size and load / speed rating (plus they're MO tires as well) and should last longer than the LX Sport. I tow my race car trailer with the ML which would shred the LX Sport summers in a year, but the Conti4x4Contact (which is what I put on it two years ago) are faring considerably better and are very decent tires in all other areas.
