2015 ml350 blutec
ML63 type rims help?
Hi so i recently picked up a 2015 ml350 bluetec and hate the stock rims. However im quite fond of the look of the ml63 rims and was wondering if anyone knew any good replica wheels i should check out of them.

The aftermarket 20s i just recieved have the AMG badge. Its not engraved its an aluminum stick on logo. Not 100% the same but good enough for me. They also sell the logos on ebay for 49.99 if you dont want to just look at the blank raised area

I would not be putting replica rims of any description on a vehicle that weighs 5200 lbs, but that's just me. Get a decent set of quality aftermarket rims or go with OEM.

We take care of our cars and the Mercedes is the only one I see this issue over and over unless someone comes to me and says I hit a big pothole.
Hence my aftermarket purchase.

Aftermarket is fine - just get a decent set. Sure, the OEM Mercedes wheels may bend when you hit a pothole, but cheap replicas are even weaker and instead tend to crack / break, which usually results in a blowout. If this happens when you're moving at highway speeds, you have a serious problem.
I also wanted a decent set of wheels for my ML, which I also use to tow the race car trailer with and carry spares, so it is sometimes loaded to maximum capacity. I ended up buying a set of OZ Racing Versilias, which are made specifically for the ML and are heat treated for strength (IIRC the 20x9.5s that I got are load rated for over 2600 lbs per wheel). There are other quality brands, but the bottom line is that you want a wheel made to support the weight of the vehicle. If you think the OEM wheels are bad, you're in for a very nasty surprise with Chinese replicas. You get what you pay for.

However i have alot of replica wheels that are great, and your going by the fact that Mercedes wheels are high quality to start with. I don't see it in their wheel department. Who knows who makes them, maybe some supplier in china or mexico.
I have 25series tires on my Z06 never bent a wheel. I drive all cars the same on the same roads. I am sure i will be happy with the change.

I have never seen or even heard of a "great" replica wheel... ever. One of the guys I race with owns a wheel and tire shop, and while replicas probably amount for 80% of his wheel sales, they are garbage compared to pretty much any OEM wheel, let alone good aftermarket wheels. And no, the MB OEM wheels are most certainly not made in China or Mexico. They're likely made in Germany or Italy by companies like BBS, Borbet, Ronal or Fondmetal. Regardless of where they are made, it's how they are made that matters. At the very least OEM wheels would have to get TUV and JWL approval, which no replica wheel manufacturer would ever pass. So - just because you've been lucky with cheap replicas it doesn't mean that they're not garbage.
