O2 Sensor issue
I have a 2013 ML350 that developed a problem with the pre cat sensor on bank 1. I replaced the the sensor and continued to get the same code and intermediate rough idling. I decided to replace the coils and spark plugs. That resolved the sensor issue on bank 1, but now the O2 sensor on bank 2 is coding P2247 and P0150. I replaced that sensor, but I am still getting those codes after driving for a few miles. All fuses are fine. The truck is running good. Any suggestions?

- O2 sensors, all four
- coils
- spark plugs
- cam position sensors, all four
- crank position sensor
- coolant and air temperature sensors
Replaced all the 02 sensors but the problem still persists. Can't figure out how it started with bank 1 and now it's bank 2 with the problem. Another issue is when I replaced coil 3 the engine misfires and I thought it was a defective coil, but got a new replacement and still having that issue. I put back old coil and it runs fine with exception that it intermediately idles rough briefly and engine light comes on with 02 code on bank 2.

- cam sensors
- cam solenoids
- crank sensor
- unmetered air (air leak from cracked or loose vacuum pipe or a component along the intake system)
This is an ML350 gasoline correct? Please post your VIN so we know the specs on this vehicle to help in the diagnosis. What region of the world are you located?

I replaced the Cam Position sensors and reinstalled the new coil on number 3, but got a new set of codes PO353 and PO300 when it warmed up and severe misfire. I once again reinstalled the old coil on 3 and it went back to the original PO150 & P2247. The vin is 4JGDA5JB9DA162006 and it's located Southeast US. The car runs ok with old coil until it warms up, then if you turn it off and restart you feel a slight misfire at low rpm and the engine light turns on. This has been very frustrating and expensive LOL!!!
Have you ruled out the obvious, such as unmetered air from a cracked PCV or vacuum pipe, cracked intake duct or leaking intake manifold?
How many miles are on the vehicle?
How many miles have you put on the vehicle?
How long have you owned the vehicle?
What maintenance history or records do you have?
What service or maintenance has been done on the vehicle in the 12 months prior to the current situation?
How would you characterize the overall maintenance condition of this vehicle?
Now that you have replaced the old coil on #3, and obtained the same codes as before, try swapping the #3 coil with another cylinder, from the other side of the engine. Tell us what codes you get, if any.
My inclination and preference is to replace as much of the ignition system as possible: spark plugs, coils and wires/boots and O2 sensors. Then see what codes, if any, you have. This may be a more expensive option, I realize this.
Next would be cam position sensors and crank position sensor.
Next would be mass air flow sensor.

Everything I've replaced:
All coils
Spark plugs
All O2 sensors
All Cam Position Sensors
I have put different coils and always get the same error on #3.

What is the status with rough idling? Do you still have rough idling?
What codes do you have now?
The last easy and less expensive things to replace are the crank position sensor and mass air flow sensor. Then it's a deeper dive into the cam adjustment solenoids or timing chain.
Are you 100% confident that the spark plug/coil/O2 sensor replacement work was correctly done? Is there any chance in your mind that the parts were not installed correctly?
