ML 350 Spark plug and Cylinder Head

Hi, My question is for 2013 Mercedes ML 350 4MATIC Gasoline.

a) How many spark plugs does it have in the engine? I want to replace them so am looking for this basic information.

b) Front Cylinder Head covers are leaking engine oil a bit. Dealership recommends resealing the front covers and camshaft solenoids. They do not see any crack in the cylinder head. They would off course replace the gasket. Would this solve the problem? Or it can reoccur and probably require replacement of cylinder head and / or solenoids?

Thank you,
Raj

a) assuming you know where the bonnet latch is have one of your servants check the number of wires for each cylinder that will tell you the number of plugs per cylinder, however dont do this job yourself

b)a new gasket will solve your problem, however do not do this job yourself

6 spark plugs

oil leaks at the front of the cylinder heads is a common leak on this engine. Have the dealer reseal the cam solenoids and chain gallery covers (plates).

This place is a joke.
Spark plugs are not a particularly fun job on this engine.

At what age/mileage do the front of the head covers typically start leaking?

Less than 50k miles, as early as 30k miles. Mine were leaking around 35k-40k miles. I had to badger my dealer three times to reseal them under warranty. Blithering idiots.
