Rear cargo hatch sill plates
Does anyone know if it is possible to get replacements for the metalic "scuff plates" located on the rear hatch sill ('13 ML350 W166). At some point the adhesive started to give way on mine and they have since become thoroughly mangled by the tailgate snagging them.

It seems that Mercedes only sells the entire plastic sill trim piece as a complete (horrendously overpriced) assembly as shown below. Anywhere I could just get new metal bits?

I did removed those plates few years ago - there's hard molded plastic underneath and it's perfectly fine functionally and ecstatically

I think I might just do that. Will probably look better than the duct tape I have holding them down right now .

I don't believe this is what the OP was referring to. The part in question is the interior rear sill, not the exterior bumper.
