2013 ML350 - Ignition Switch not turning on
Looking for some help here. Roughly a month ago I started noticing that when I put the key in the ignition and turn it over the truck would not start. I would take the key out and put it back in and it would start.. It would still work on occasion when I push it in hard to the right. I have not been able to start truck at all now so I have taken out the EIS module (black Box) and now it seems to not want to go into the ON position to even use a OBD scanner/software to scan it. I fear I may have put it in a immobilization mode? (is that possible)
Is there a fix to the module that anyone maybe familiar with? I don't want to get a new module and have to program it.
Any advice greatly appreciated

Sometimes this connector needs to be re-soldered back on PCB side as when you lift up the PCB this can remain inside the plastic cover

Can you post a picture from 3 pin connector?
Depending on what scanner you've got, the EIS, CGW SAM',s, etc should communicate even if the contact circuit ( klema 15) is not on.

Maybe the EIS has no any problem,
First step ( after checking the main battery, water in SAM or CGW...etc) is to connect a decent scanner for Actual Values regarding Drive Authorization, key recognition ( you can try another key as well ) on EIS - for this EIS only need to be connected into the car harness - also this harness should have voltage...

take 5mn to solder these 3 groups of poor connections
the 3 empty open holes receive pins from the plastic assembly
> Next Stop:
-- Go visit solderless KeylessG module.... another 5mn fix responsible for "battery drain while parked".
-- CAN- B chaos will decrease as many module you solder.
-- Engine + tranny performance will increase when you deal with CAN-C

opto-coplers benefit being nearly DUST-FREE !!
