Going in for major surgery...
Well it's about time I give the car a nice overhaul job...
Either next week or the week after, the car is going in for some major surgery. The list of items includes:
AMG 65 turbochargers
SHR NAG1-HTCr 722.6 transmission
Quaife LSD
SpeedDriven TCU software
Thermalnator intake manifold spacer
Custom fabricated CAI setup
New Motor and transmission mounts
New A/C compressor
New ABC tandem pump
New ABC vibration dampers/pressure collectors front and back
New ABC valve blocks front and back
New starter
New spark plugs
New ignition modules
New ignition voltage converter
New fuel pump/filter
New drive shaft flex disks
These items I am still debating, if time permits...
All 4 new AMG ABC struts from the S65 AMG, new control arms, thrust arms, wheel hubs and steering knuckles.
As always, all will be document and posted here for your viewing pleasure!

(In stock form the 65 turbo's are ONLY worth about 20 rwhp MAX on your s600 unless you upgrade the Turbo wheels further w/Marcin)
If upgrading these ONLY w/STOCK 65 wheels?? You're just pissing in the wind, the cost w/Labor for install & parts will = roughly $5,000 NOT worth 20 rwhp & what's the tranny upgrade for? You already have a Maybach trans stock from factory It's proven more than capable w/FAR more powerful modded 600/65's
You've literally spent/spending 10's of thousands turning an S600 into a faux S65 Just torch it & pick up an 05 S65 for $40k & add SPEEDRIVEN ECU/TCU & call it a day...

How in the hell could that happen? The inlet tubes are behind your grill, then the inlet tubes have that wire mesh roadblock in them, then there's the filter.
Please tell me you weren't driving around filterless?

Looks like at some point some repairs were done in the engine compartment that needed the air intake system out of the way, so to prevent anything from falling in the remaining intake pipes the stuffed a rag in there. Simply forgot to take it out before re-assembling.
It's like when they forget stuff in people on the operating table

If you stuff a rag in the turbo and forget to take it out before you put the airbox back on, you must be either blind or just really dumb.
It's a lot simpler than your constructive story above... was doing some diagnostics on the car, there were no airboxes, there was a towel on the fender, it slipped off and fell on the turbo and got sucked in. My mistake, my $5000+ down the drain.

What are you talking about? That's a crazy assumption to make... someone once told me that when you assume, you make an *** out of U and ME.
