CL65 - Check out my custom intake!
Did you connect the pair of intake pressure sensors that measure vacuum in the air filter housings to your new air filter arrangement? If so have you been able to measure less restriction?
Sure looks good.

Only problem that may come up is the filters waterlogging in the rain and feeding the turbos a lot of water, but we've got weather apps for that lol.
But seriously, the path the water would have to travel is pretty long and has a lot of curves and turns, so the odds of anything like that happening are pretty slim—unless you pointed a fire hose directly at the filters for several minutes and completely flooded the intake tubes. One thing to note: this is exactly where the OEM system picks up air from. The only difference is I have my filters up front instead of right by the turbos on top of the engine. From a physics standpoint, it’s not like water just flows straight through an intake. The filter media is designed to trap particles and also breaks up water into mist. Once that happens, most of it either gets caught in the filter, drains out, or turns into vapor as it moves through several feet of tubing with heat and airflow. You’d need a sustained, high-volume source of water to actually overwhelm the system and push liquid all the way through.

I wonder if it is a similar route for the 2009 SL65 R230 chassis?
Would you have a list of the hose bends and parts used and the vendors to purchase them from?
Thanks for posting this.
The little black brackets were made to hold the engine cover on since it used to clip in to the factory airbox.
