Paddle shifter Part# questions

Can anyone tell me where I could find the part#s for the AMG Paddle Shifters? It would also be nice if I could locate the microfische so I could find any associated plugs, etc.

Come on there has to be other gear heads out there besides me?! Even the BMW guys have write ups on this.

The BMW guys need them becuse their arms are too short to reach the shifter.

I investigated this option, and discovered it required a steering wheel change, so I took the money and vacationed in Bali instead.

Went to the stealership yesterday looking for the paddles for my 06 SLK 55. They do now have the part number listed for the paddles. It is 171-267-00-46. They are only $150 CDN. Anyone with instructions on how to install them?

Enterprise rent-a-car!!!
I have been waiting for the new style paddles from a dealer for months they cannot get them.
To install is easy.
Remove the steering wheel, remove the inner frame and the switches are held in with a #10 torx screw.

I think you are right. My dealership is hesitant to even place the order.

Do you have any more details? How do you remove the steering wheel? Do you have to remove the airbag?
