Intentional crank but no start how-to? (C55)

Does anyone know the correct procedure to create a no-start condition. By correct way - I mean to not damage any components or create any codes.

What is the correct fuse or relay to pull? Model is a 2005 C55 AMG.

The reason is that I want to build oil pressure at slow crank speeds, prior to starting normally, as the car will sit for long periods.

Thanks.

I personally don't believe that is necessary if you are using the suggested oil type and weight. You might create more of a problem by disabling the ignition. Just start it and let it idle for a minute or so.

Whether it is necessary, I agree, is questionable. It's more of related to my OCD regarding the ownership of the car.

Anyone with any suggestions?

How long are you going to let it sit? YOu cannot create a slow crank situation. It's either crank or no crank. If you want to crank it without starting it, then pull the fuel pump fuse in the rear sam module on the left of the trunk. I think it's fuse 5. Should be 20 Amps. Or you can hand crank it with a long breaker bar at the crank pulley. Either way, I don't think you need to do this even if you store the car for a few weeks. Just make sure a trickle charger is hooked to the battery. Mercedes sells one at the dealer.

Thanks Sunman for your reply. The car could possibly sit for as long as 6 months. I have a 'smart' 750mAmp battery tender installed. The crank speed RPM, as best I can research, is approximately 400. This is about a 1/3 of the initial cold start idle. My intention is to no-start crank 3 cycles at starter speed to circulate fluids.

I thought that MB outlines a method to do just what I am trying to accomplish to perform a compression test, but I can't locate any documentation.

My concern with pulling the fuel pump fuse is that the fuel rail will remain pressurized and the injectors will pulse, allowing fuel to inject and a mis-firing start that will set codes.

If the car is sitting that long, don't worry, there is no pressure in the fuel rail, the check valve is designed to hold over night..not over 1/2 year...
