it looks almost the same. how much do you think these things run?
personally, i feel more comfortable w/ the 4 point lifts that they offer... but, i'd have to see how they're attached to the ground.
it's either this or a pit but i'm concerned about pits - things/people/cars falling in, water table, unusable floor space.

That top bar looks like it's just a tray to hold the hoses/wires. If it's a problem it could probably be removed and the hoses/wires re-routed. I don't think adds any support. You see the second picture shows the same tray running across the floor.
You need to make sure your garage floor is thick enough concrete to support the posts (usually 4-6").
Most 2-posts lift from the body and let the wheels dangle. Most 4-posts lift from the wheels.
My bro-in-law has a kwiklift type thing and he likes it.
If I ever build/buy a bigger house, I want to make sure there's enough room for a lift.
Here's a small 2-post that will clear an 8' ceiling (you need to cut holes in the ceiling though):
