2007 S550 2000 S430 and 2003 SL500 (for sale)

STAR diagnostic computer

Hello,

I have a 2000 S430 in the bay area, CA. (US). I am tring to find someone that can turn on the " Xenon On" feature on my S430, via the STAR daig system. I went to several dealers and they are giving me the run around. Can someone tell me if they know any that can help me in the bay area.

I bought some Xenon Headlights to replace my non-Xenon lights.

I drop by dealer today and ask them to change the Comand analogous bose setting, they charge me $153 for that. So I decided to do it later together with xenon update.

No surprise there .. the dealers in SoCal (not sure waht part of cali yer in) can be such @ssholes its not funny.

Can somebody confirm that the xenons will really have issues if computer is not set to xenon on? I thought the worsest would be a defective lamp error in the dash. Some claim the xenon actually flickers if computer is not set. I got the feeling this is due to day time running light feeding only half power to the lights.

when i had my w202 i retrofitted a set of oem xenons from a c43 pace car and i never once had a problem with them. they never flickered or anything. i remember some people that did similar installs with the bekkers xenon units for the w202 had to change out a fuse to get them to work.
