Unlock ECU using DJ Entrigelung 9A and 9B if I remember correctly, also the second level is written very clear like "Variant Coding seed request/send" in Security.

I can connect to your laptop to show you if you promise that you will help other members too.

Dude, I owe you at least one bottle of scotch
I've read tens of "guides" and watched tons of YT videos without result. With your guide, I've managed to change the start/stop, move the speed limiter from 280 to 300 and disable the seatbelt warning in less than hour (I already had laptop with Xentry, Vediamo, Monaco and Seed calc installed). It only took me an hour, just because I had to find the right dll for mine MED177. Big Thank you!

Question for you and the others: I got mine X166 from Dubai (GCC Specs), do you guys have idea how can I remove the shi#%y speed warning at 120km/h (pic below)?

CHEAP LAUNCH SCANNER...

You can code that speed limit Off directly under the IC Display module in about 9mn with a $125 scanner.
No seed key necessary for variant coding.

Thanks mate,
I've found a guy here who said that he can remove it for 20-30 Euro (we are poor guys in Eastern Europe ), but I just want to do it by myself, with what I already had as equipment

In Instrumet Cluster open Variant Coding and onto

4.VCD_04_Laenderkodierung_SCN

Change the domains:

Golfstaatenwarnung Geschwindigkeit (Speedwarning)(1) to "aus"

Akustik Geschwindigkeitswarnung (Gulf_state_Warning)(1) to "aus"

I discovered that the earlier GLC300s use different modules. According to Xentry, my 2017 looks like:

EZS module = EIS222_EIS222
ESP module = ESP205_000812

Has anyone discovered which settings are used for drive mode on these modules? Is it even possible?

better or worse

Read forum and poke around a little with your scanner to discover what works on your chassis. MB keeps changing settings.

DO CREATE A BACKUP BEFORE you change anything at your own risks. Even backups are no guaranteed of results. Bad settings may cause issues. It should go very well but could go very wrong.

ML320 CDI W164
Xentry

Hello! I am new to the MB world. I bought a 2008 ML320 CDI with 107K on it. I have a CEL from MAF sensors. I changed the MAF sensors but the CEL stays on. With this software can I clear that? Would I also be able to do a Stage 1 tune? I appreciate any information.

I think you're looking in the wrong section in ECO thread. Read and post under ML320 chassis section.

Regarding MAF perhaps your intake duct is not connected tightly. You can use Xentry to assist your troubleshooting... don't just swap expensive parts.

It may be yo your advantage to get your 2008 running normally before you concider tuning anything.

What Cali said. And no, you cannot tune with this software as far as I know. But you can totally brick your car if you mess around without knowing what you are doing. If you want a tune, I recommend getting it from a tuner.

If you translate " Ungültiger Schlüssel" you can try the non leached calculators and use the one from here:
https://unlockecu.sn.sg/

Also, you have to understand that the hex value #0B is #11 in decimal.

Anyway your context is out of context badly.

Hey,
Thanks for your response. Apologies for not making things clear at first place

I am trying to disable to auto start stop on Mercedes E350d 2015 (W212). I have DTS Monaco and Vediamo both setup on my laptop and connecting to OBD port through openport
I have used MED40.CBF in this case but stuck at point of unlocking ECU. I followed step mentioned in post to unlock ECU but not able to procced in both DTS Monaco and Vediamo.
Firstly, I selected Request Seed variant coding from where I got 0B,9E,CF,E7,F3. I have copied that key into Seed key calculator and as well https://unlockecu.sn.sg/ to get 0C, 40, 96,67,EA.
But I am always getting 7F, 27 35. Tried on both system but no success.
I am not sure where I getting it wrong

Why would you choose med40 on 350 diesel.... Check with Xentry the real name of your ECU

"How to do coding Start/Stop ECO with DTS Monaco 8.x".

Vediamo 4.2.2 and DTS Monaco 8.x are similar. Vediamo 4.2.2 uses *.cbf files from Xentry, while DTS Monaco 8.x uses *.smr-d files from Xentry. *.smr-d is a newer version of *.cbf, i.e., *.smr-d = *.cbf + *.dll. You can extract the *.dll from the *.smr-d. The DLLs for the seed key calculator were extracted from the *.smr-d. You can do it yourself, but someone already did it for you. DTS Monaco 8.x also supports *.cbf, but only with SD C4 or DoIP adapters. Since you have a J2534 adapter, you can’t use *.cbf in DTS Monaco 8.x. But that’s fine, because *.smr-d is better than *.cbf. You don’t miss anything.

Where are *.smr-d files? It's in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mercedes-Benz\Xentry\Kontexte\ODXProjekte\PKW_COMMON\dbr". You don't need to beg the files. You already have them.

(1) Install DTS Monaco, activate it, (2) run system configuration, (3) add J2534 adapter, (4) create a project, (5) add control unit modules to the project, (6) close system configuration, (7) create a new workspace from the project : do google or watch youtube. There are many tutorial videos.

Here is what others don't say to you:

8. When you open the workspace, you will see the below screen.
9. Select "Quick Test" and choose "MED40" on the tap, and click on "Start" to do a quick test. Does it work? It should work. If not, you are doing something wrong. Go back...
10. Follow the steps in the image below.
11. WARNING. Before doing the coding, save current parameters to a file ("Coding Set" / "Save")

12. You need to get access level 0B to do the Euro6 emission related variant coding. Follow the steps in the image below.

12. Click on "Do Coding". It will go through.
13. Reset the control unit (Select, Diagnostic Service -> MED40(example) -> Ecu Reset -> [11 01] HardReset Reset, and click on "Transmit")
14. Done

Congratulations! You have learned how to use a semi-automatic rifle. But please be careful and don’t pull the trigger unless you are absolutely sure of what you are doing.
Just wondering if anyone have the images mentioned in the step 10 above ?

You quoted the image in your post. It's the screenshot of `DTS Monaco [Daimler] - W205 All [W205]`

So the intructions don't make it obvious at first, but: different models have different computers. So even though the instructions say `MED40.CBF`, it's because the author has a W205 model. Your W212 has a different computer.

That is why we need to start with Xentry: even though Xentry does not do any reprogramming, you use it to discover which computers you actually have in your car.

Every computer has a different algorithm for unlocking and different reprogramming options. Thankfully the CBF filenames match the computer names, so it's easy to pick the file that will be compatible.

Images are embedded within the posts on this forum. If you cannot see the images, that probably means you have an unusual configuration in your browser and/or your mbworld profile.

Try opening the first post of this thread in an incognito window. If you can see the images, then it's your MBworld profile. If you still cannot see the images in the post, then it's something with how your browser is displaying the thread.

There are several alternatives to disabling ECO START/STOP besides risking bricking your ECU.

1. Mid City Engineering sells a dongle that is keyed to one car once used. It uses last setting remembered. Simply plug it into the OBD port and follow instructions.
2. BenzNinja (see banner at top of page) can program the ECU to use last setting remembered. He also offers other customizations, as well as lifetime support for diagnostics.
3. LAUNCH Creader Elite BENZ, LAUNCH CRP123E Plus, and others can be used to select last setting remembered or completely disabled.

There are other solutions, as well, but these are the most common that I have found.
