W204 ESL motor replaced and still won't start!!!

I replaced the ESL motor in the ESL on our 2011 C300 and the car still won't start. After replacing the motor I plugged it up to test for function. The motor engages the lock when the key is removed and opens when the key is inserted. It seems to be cycling correctly but I still have the remove key message on the screen and it still won't start. Am I overlooking something here? Anyone have any ideas?

This seems like now it work like new again.
Don't mind me asking: what ODB scanner do you use to work this problem?

There maybe a problem with the circuitry of the board. I would suggest you replace the factory ESL with an emulator. They are a lot more reliable and much less fussy than the factory ESLs. They just work.

I program emulators for $250. I would need your Ignition Switch and key to program an emulator for your car. Then it's plug n play when you get everything back. You can watch my YouTube video here:

one way or the other

once the security is triped, you need a Xentry session to reset it
-Or the emulator solution to please EIS ignition switch again

I have the same issue was it the steering lock even though it unlocks when you insert the key?

The way car ignores key is removed says something!!
This is your ignition switch that needs to be cleaned up (optical couplers) + resolder the loose pressed pin connections.
