In this case you should ask Carsystem to tell you the mirrored VIN that the NTG5.5 see it.

You maybe use an adaptor that's "lie" the NTG about the real car where is installed.

I did some digging around and was able to find the DLM and download the respective maps onto thumb drives...One for NTG 5.2 and one for NTG 5.5, just so I have them both at the ready.

It would be much appreciated if you could supply me with an Activation Code.

The downloader, based on my VIN, shows me having NTG 5.2 but was hoping I have NTG 5.5 (but I'm guessing that the downloader doesn't lie).

Sir, your car is MY2015 and it has NTG5Star2.

Please do not try NTG5.5 maps if your NTG is still the original from factory and you did not retrofited with NTG5.5. NTG5.5 is completly different, you can google how it differ, together with the screens and steering wheel.

I don't think that you want to Update to V5 as the V15 is available and it's the latest.

For your VIN, NTG5Star2 and V15 North America 2021 the free Activation Code is:

Here I am following up on my very recent installation/update to my maps...flawless.

@Trigital was key in completing this process.

First...downloading the maps via the Mercedes downloader is probably the most time consuming aspect of this process. Granted, it's extremely straightforward and simple. Probably took about an hour to download.

Second step, installing into the vehicle...super easy. Plug into one of the USB slots in my center console (your location may vary) and the car recognizes the update. The car asks to update and I confirmed. Then the car asks for the activation key that I got from @Trigital and we're off to the races. Probably took 40 minutes start to finish...I just sat in my driveway with the car running and perused the Instagram (top rated time waster). Upon finishing the update, navigation reboots and you're done. Boom!

Now to travel the world and see what's new in the Navigation since my maps had never been updated since 2015.

You have to confirm the version of your "newest" maps from the USB stick. The system ask for Activation code when you connect the USB?

Can anyone help me to the right direction to get the Mercedes download manager?

I am in Canada and the Mercedes Me app won't allow me to download said my vehicles are not supported (currently own a 2017 E43 and 2018 GLE400).

I have 2018 as well. We are the last year that’s not supported by MercedesMe anymore. To get download manager:

1. On your computer log in to your Mercedes‑me account
2. Navigate to the “Manage Digital Extras” section of your vehicle dashboard
3. Select “Update regions manually.” Select “Download the Download Manager.”
4. Run the downloaded file
5. Once installed, launch the application—it will manage downloading the map updates directly to your formatted USB drive or SD card

Unfortunately I followed your link and when I click on login they won't allow me and I encounter the same problem when I login to the Canadian MB website, I seriously think its a regional thing and won't allow me.

Do you know which NTG each of your cars has? According to ChatGPT your E43 should be NTG 5.1 in your GLE should be NTG6. Do you know if that is correct?
