BAS/ESP/etc. shut off again! mbtech please help
This happened this past Monday, when I was out of town and was driving by the local MB dealer. How convenient. I decided to drive in to this dealership and the techs were kind enough to read the failure codes from the car.
Here they are:
ECU, ESP, Part#2095450232, C1145, Zero point offset error of component Pressure sensor
ECU, EIS, Part#2035450508, B1004, Overvoltage supply
ECU, OCP, Part#2038201201, B1002, The supply voltage of the control unit is too high (overvoltage).
ECU, UCP, Part#2038217458, B1036, Control module N72/1 (Upper control panel control module) has detected undervoltage or overvoltage.
Battery voltage 11.71V

Thanks a lot mbtech. That makes sense to me.
This phraze I don't understand
"Zero point offset error of component Pressure sensor"

The fault code 1145 (pressure sensor) is caused by a bad ESP-unit. From may 2002 on, all ESP-ECU's have extra condensators (is this proper English?). Replacing the pressure sensor will not help.
All other ECU's mentioned will not cause BAS/ESP-warnings.

I think it's called condenser, but I'm not 100% positive.
So in your opinion what needs to be replaced, ESP unit? ECU? both?

not the hydraulic ESP-unit, but the electronic unit that is mounted on it. Let's say the ESP-"computer". There are two different units available depending on whether you have PML (Parameterlenkung, Electronic steering) or not.

The dealer's shop looked at the car today and ordered a new alternator.

Am I correct when I say that the only thing that you noticed was the BAS/ESP warning light coming on? Then the fault codes where these mentioned before? Not anything more? No overvoltage code in ESP ECU? No overvoltage codes in other ECU's than those mentioned before?
We will see...
