US to Europe Light Conversion (Red To Amber)

US to Europe Light Conversion (Red To Amber)
I bought a US GLS 450 (X166) from the US to Europe but unfortunately, it has red turn signals and in Europe, amber must be used.
I have bought some aftermarket lights and added them, they still flash red, and apparently, an additional cable needs to be run to the SAM module.
1) has anyone done this before?
3) where can I get a wiring diagram of the rear electrics?
4) Estimate time for this job? 1 guy wants to charge me for 3 days of labour. I find that hard to believe when it is "only" running a cable from the lights to the rear SAM unit from each light.

What are the aftermarket lights that you got? Do they claim to be amber or red? Can you provide a link?
I would contact @BenzNinja at www.benzninja.com to see if changing the color can be done through software configuration.

Getting the originals changed to amber is also possible I think. I will contact Ninja also.

Since the lights say they are European Version, I would think they should be amber. But, because they are red when installed in a US car, it makes me think that there needs to be a configuration change in the control module.
By the way, DEPO is a well known aftermarket manufacturer. The quality is generally good.

@BenzNinja says it is too much hassle, so I am back to square 1. Anyone know where I can get the wiring diagram?

How did you bring the car over to Europe from the US? Have you contacted a Mercedes dealership in Europe?

I remember seeing a YouTube video doing this exact mod, but on a W212 E-class. Should be similar, or at least give you enough info to know what and where to look. Use OE wire diagram to find exact output for the Amber turn signal that will require an extra wire to be run for it
