Is it always like this every time you try or intermittent?

It is every time.
when I first got the car I would swipe my index finger on the sensor towards the back of the car and the panoramic roof would open. To close the panoramic roof I would swipe toward the front of the car.
Now when I swipe my finger either forward or backward on the sensor it only moves about 1 inch

Hmmm, I wonder if it is not registering correctly, I guess you wiped the contact area already?

Yes I did clean the sensor area.
Tomorrow I’m headed to the dealership for a technician to look at it .
I will post the results

I see, hopefully it is just a simple software fix/reset.

Panoramic sunroof - Problem Solved

Went to the MB dealer today to troubleshoot why the panoramic roof was only moving 1 inch each time I would swipe the sensor in either direction. The problem was fixed after a download of up-dated software

Strange it was working before and it is running the same software version when it was working but glad it is fixed.

The dealer is supposed to send me the paperwork on the up date. Let’s see if I get it

I couldn't interfere as I know next to nothing about pano specifics....

However this "1-In skip step" may be related to... :
-- roof module being de-normalized or
-- high-current safety protection
-- unstable voltage source

See if this happens again or if door windows also denomalize.

Great dealer got this working so quickly.
