XENTRY TCU Adaptation Screen

XENTRY TCU Adaptation Screen

I am in the "Performing Adaptation" screen in XENTRY. I can't tell if this is the screen that actually performs the adaptations or not. If it is, do I simply drive around with this screen up?

By the way, you are actually using DAS, not XENTRY. You must have an older car.

Thank you. Yes, a 2007 G55. The video above is for the Torque Converter. I searched, but could not find the other one.

IMPROVING TRANNY SHIFTS

Why are you retraining your TCU adaptations ???

Normally Tranny learns to shift EXTREMELY WELL BY ITSELF else other factors from engine side are involved to deliver poor shifts.

-- ATF viscosity needs to be near factory conditions for TCU to work within range.

-- Start with a chassis reboot + good stable voltage for effective CAN networking between ECU <--> TCU.

-- Engine throttle needs to be predictable without any misfirings.

Ok. Well for the 722.6 transmission, there is no upshift and downshift adaptations screens or procedures like the 722.9. So what we did for those, is reset adaptations and then went for a drive. If there was any gear that is not smooth, you drive the car in that gear and shift manually between 2000 and 3000 rpms. The transmission control module for the 722.6 is outside of the transmission. The TCU for the 722.9 seats on top of the valve body and this one needs programming, coding, personalization and range sensor calibration.

I've come to the conclusion, that if you DIY forget anything that doesn't have a 722.6 transmission
and any engine after 2005 and also forget the M271.
So M111, M112, and same period V8's.
