Airmatic module no connection Mercedes GLC
Mercedes GLC 43 AMG 2016
Last week my car battery completely died and I jump-started the vehicle. After this, the following fault codes appeared:
- U042186 – Implausible data received from control unit “Suspension” (incorrect signal)
- U013287 – Communication with control unit “Suspension” has a malfunction
I replaced the N51/3 suspension control module located under the driver’s seat. However, I still cannot access the module. After installing the replacement module, Xentry shows the attached error message.
My questions are:
- Is it possible that the replacement module is also defective?
- Or should I be checking another component or wiring issue?
Kind regards,
im currently facing the same problem.
I’ve have looked at many forms and videos I have seen people buy n51/3 modules and they don’t work (I don’t know why they don’t work for them) but there’s this guy on YouTube same issue unfortunately he had an n51/3 module issue he bought a replacement one and it didn’t work either and then he returned it and got a different one same part number and it worked, his car was a Mercedes c350e but similar logic.
Now what I can understand is that the module need to be off the same model and variant, in this case the module need to have the same part number and need to come off a Glc 43 2016
The module that you have replaced might have software from a GLC 220d, Glc 250 Glc 350d or a Glc 63 if the module you have doesn’t have the software for the Glc 43 it wont work due to having different parameters this will throw error like in your case.
Just to make it simple for you to understand, just cause you have a module with the same part number doesn’t mean that module has the correct software in it.
Another thing is as well if you want it to work 100% go to Mercedes get a new module part number should be A2539002403 (ask Mercedes to check the correct part number) and then get Mercedes to code it (the only way to code it is with xentry online don’t bother trying to code it with out it cause you will fail and toast a £560 module) Approx cost £900 to buy module and Mercedes to code it. I’m taking mine there next month waiting for new module from Germany cost me £560

It may be defective or flashed/coded by Autel in the past or your Xentry has a glitch.
If you can, you can try flashing again with the same SW
