Passenger video on the move

I’m picking up a new 2025 cla e premium plus today.
It has a screen for the passenger.
Can I code past the play video when parked restriction and if I can what tools do I need?
Thanks
Iggy

What you need is MB expert forum sponsor @BenzNinja to work with your MY'25.

Thanks for the info.
I’ve been doing some research and see benzninja is a good way of getting video in motion.
I Will need to look at other coding items to add to warrant the cost.

Be advised:
  1. This car has a completely new software architecture and Operating System MB.OS. Do ask @BenzNinja if he has anything for it yet but I have doubts. My Carly tool cannot yet even read the car.
  2. Owing to the sophisticated setup that monitors the driver when the passenger is watching video and reduces / disables when the driver is no longer paying attention to the road I think that you are in any case unlikely to be able to circumvent this restriction.
  3. Obligatory safety waffle about attention to the road 🙂
EDIT: Just reread your post - the passenger screen is only activated when there is a passenger seated. At which point they can watch video on the move. But you can’t!

Thanks for the reply.
I’m a gadget ***** and wanted to be able to watch Netflix or Disney whilst someone else drives.
I’ll have a play next time I’m a passenger to see what you can do.

Works perfectly in three of my cars...we can pick, either backseat. The E we can put a DVD it the dash and play it on one or both rear screens. The other E there is a player under the seat too...you can pick dash or seat. On the GLS there are a ton of options to play video while you are going 130mph watching the Fast and Ferious trying to get the Florida Super Speeder arrest.

YES, I am an old man, yes I am cranky. There is NO REASON to play movies or any other thing on the dash while driving. Even the passangers should have some semblance of situaational awareness (unelss they are in child seats).

Screens in the back are something I’ve always wanted, it’s the idea of it that does it for me.

I’m a very aware passenger, probably too aware, due to over estimation of danger and an intolerance to uncertainty and of course being old and grumpy.
Some times a distraction as a passenger could be a good thing, depending on who’s driving, if you catch my drift.

Disney+ works just fine, and on the main screen when parked.

You’re going to love the Driver Assistance features - and they are not driver-specific, assuming you allow someone else to drive your new baby!

New CLA has no rear screens, so yes indeed; but only when parked!
