Just looked on autotrader and there are a number of W211 E55's for right around 30K.
But anyway--GL with the sale.

The lowest price on autotrader within 300 miles of me on cars with less than 70k miles is $22k. That's CA for you.

I have to agree. i love how the car looks, but I'd buy a 32k 2003 before I parted with 25 k for that one. Good luck, you are really going to need it.

another perfect example of the morons asking way more than their car is worth. ludicrous posts like this should be deleted.
its obvious the owner isnt really trying to sell the car, given the asking price.
and this let me price my car ridiculously high and wait for a lowballer who will offer me what my real asking price is, this technique is retarded.

I don't see any rules of the forum saying that you need to sell your car cheap, so why don't you keep your opinions to your self.

Wow, now that's not very nice. It's posts like this that should get people banned. As I said, The lowest price on Autotrader (similar miles) within 300 miles of Los Angeles is now $19.9k. The highest is $29.5! So obviously I'm not the only moron trying to sell my car for market value. KBB lists "Good" condition private party value at $19.9.

you dont have to sell your car for cheap, gou can continue to price it ridiculously and its obvious that you are not serious about selling your car.

This just to show that you should start thinking about reducing price by at least 4-5k for now. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...736035016.html

I love how people not from California peep in with their opinion. Try living in our state. We get raped here when it comes to taxes and pay more for just about everything. California isn't Nevada, Texas and or middle America. Back to the issue at hand. Does Paul have a nice car.... YES. Is it worth $25k? To someone looking for his year it might be. So if you don't have anything nice to say don't waste your time and effort responding. How about instead of ******* his post you could PM him and say " Hey I noticed you had a nice car.... I've been researching your year and this is the range that they're going for... you might want to consider this for a quick sale."

maaan, leave him alone. We all know that maximum he will get for it will be 18k, it is 8(!) years old car, but It is his own problem. People can post whatever they want Roybotnik been trying to sell his designo for 3-4 months, but still nothing

And at this time I don't want to sell the wheels. I've had a lot of interest in the wheels, and to the right person- the car with the wheels on it should move. I'm not in a rush.

nope did not get any emails.
and for the record, ive lived in california since 1988. i think its fair to say i know a little bit about cars values in CA and they arnt that much more inflated than the rest of the country
and with access these days for a lot of people to ebay or manheims auction prices, people will not hesitate to buy a car out of state for significantly less and then bring it back instate to register.

paulunm, If you have the stock wheels, you are better off putting them back on. Than sell the car and wheels separately. I've tried what you are doing many times on many different cars. Most people want the stock wheels on the car, and don't want to pay extra for custom wheels.
I just tried this less than two months ago with my 2000 E55. Custom wheels and everything. Didn't make a difference. Those wheels don't add value, they take away.

Looks like he is getting the idea that his price was too high. He dropped it $3,000 including the wheels.

too bad it took him 2 months and in that process, the car dropped 1000 in value and thus dropping it 3000 results only in a net drop of 2000.

I wish I lived in the states. That car in Australia would be worth 45k (our exchange rate is basically even). Don't remember what it would be worth new, was too young. You guys are lucky to have factorys in your country that mass produce for you, ours are shipped from Germany and our idiotic country seems to like charging people for owning nice things. But from what i've seen on these forums wouldn't you rather a w211 for only few k more, even though that is a really nice car.
