Feeler: Low Milage C55 AMG
Trying to get a feel if there is much demand for a low milage 2006 C55. Car is perfect with no dings.
Bought it new last April (07). It now has 5700 miles. Garage kept and I've avoided driving in the rain. First service just performed. CLK grill, flat hood emblem. Tires are good. Of course the backs are slightly more worn than the front.... but only slightly - you'll need to measure to see it.
White with Black. Loaded including Nav, except no Sat. Stickered $60,800. Luckily I didn't pay that since it was the last of two still left in Texas at the time.
I'll be happy to post pics next weekend, but there are plenty of pics out there of stock C55's.
If anyone had wanted one of these baby's or a C AMG but doesn't want to plow 70K into the mighty C63, you can have 3/4's of the car for 1/2 the price.
Would have to be above $35K for me to get serious.
Thoughts?

Bump for a great car. One of the very few cars I owned and have since missed. I ran my own personal gumball in my 05 C55, 3000 miles around the western US and drove the car for just under 30 minutes at 140 mph on cruise control at one point and the road, while it was an interstate, was not straight.
Good luck and yes post some pics, not a lot of white ones out there.

hate to poop on your parade, but ud be lucky to get 30k for it.
good condition is 33,000.
execellent is 34,825
from kbb.
edmunds tmv is less, and none of these really take in to consideration the market trends.

As the OP said, it's just a feeler and if he doesn't get 35K, he'll keep it. Now if he said that he needed to get rid of the car in a week--that's another story.

Hmmmph
Well.....
I can read blue books and Edmunds and I get all of that. I think I saw a by owner price of about $35,400.
But I figure I'd come to "THE" Mercedes forum to ask about my AMG and to see if anyone wants to get into one of the lower milage C55's on the planet. This is an increadible car and I am probably not going to drive it every day so it might as well go to someone who will drive it for what it is.
Luckily I am not over invested in this car, so I'll drive it (or let it sit in the garage) if no one is interested.
I'll probably load pics tomorrow.

However, there are not many (if any) C55's with less than 6K miles available. It's a supply and demand thing--if someone is looking for a low mileage C55, they may be willing to part with 35K since there are no other options.
Simple, right?

Keep it---it is an excellent DD!!!
You bought it new, and if you are not in need of $$$, keep it.

Just be patient... if you want to get a lot of lead (not necessarily sell), post it on eBay...
I sold my '05, black black, 20K miles, loaded for $39.8K exactly 1 year ago. Not easy... but when you find someone who can appreciate the condition (mine also flawless - no ding, scratch whatsoever), he/she will pay extra $$$.
So for you now, same age, rarer color, lower mileage, as loaded... taking into account the economy, C63 is out already... I think $35K is feasible. Just need to be patient a bit more... If I do need a DD, I'll certainly consider this...
Good luck!

There are probably 50 2005 E55's with 30K miles on Autotrader (I'm to lazy to look).

'05 C230K SS Granite Grey Metallic
Man! I'm going to visit the grandparents in Ft. Worth this weekend. I'd jump on this in a second if I was just a little further along on paying off my C230. Can't afford both payments at this time and can't afford a C55 for daily driver.
Good luck with the sale,
Erin

I will
But...if anyone wants it...I'll be protecting it for you. (It rained this week, and I keep it in the garage!!!)
Current price is in the $37,000 range. 6000 miles at the moment.
