2003 E55 AMG
Thanks for help...
LOL... nice... thanks... technically for some it is $5k, $10K and $15k too high!!! On this forum cars are worth less... I get it.. although not sure why... but this isn't an auction car with high miles or ragged out that needs a bunch of work to make it nice... this car is mint and won't need a thing in maintenance for another 8k miles and has CPO for another 10 months..
I get the feeling that if I listed it for $20k, someone will tell me its only worth $15k... oh well... its on Autotrader now

the auction, ragged on car with 50k miles would be a 22k retail right now.
you asked for advise on why you are not selling, i gave you my honest opinion as i have no personal interest either way.
good luck with the sale

DAgo, your price is good. The economy sucks, even at the right price not alot of people have the money, or if they do, they don't want to spend it. alx is an idiot IMHO. Show me a car in this condition for the price with a WARRANTY!!! DAgo, good luck to you, just give it some time.

Alx... you are obviously a car dealer.. and as such buy cars differently... and wether you put the money into those cars to bring them up in quality is unknown... the thing is that you have a history of going into peoples "for sale" posts and chopping their prices down under the guise of 'trying to help'. I'm not interested in that...
If you are really trying to help the community... help bolster the prices of these cars so that ultimately, you can help yourself...

so.. what is it going to be? you want pointers why you are close to 60 days on your car, or not?
i would not have commented in your thread if you did not ask.
yes, i have tried in the past to set some expectations correctly, but this was not appreciated by some (and appreciated by others). so now i dont comment on unrealistic pricing - unless you ask, but if you have your pricing right i might say so (as i have in few ads here).

I honestly think that the price is a little too high with not many months of warranty left and with that many miles on it.
Recently on autotraders.com, I saw a listing of a "mint" 05 E55 AMG with around 50,000 miles selling at just a little over your fixed price of $26,900. And it still has about the same number of months of warranty left as yours.
"mint" because everyone claims their car is in "mint" condition :/

Dago, the problem with this forum is there are a lot of smoke blowers that think they know more then they do. And most people on this forum dont even own MBs especally E55s and never will until they can get one for $10000. I think you will have better luck on Autotrader and wont have to put with all these know it all retards. Good luck with your sale! I lost a small nut on my 06 when I sold it. I watch auction cars as well and they are all repainted turds. So dont let people compare your car to Manheim cars, its like comparing apples and oranges. MB dealers get the pick of the litter before auction so the auction cars are the left overs which I am sure Alex is buying. They are no prize possessions!

bump for a nicely loaded car....
Since, no one is buying with the warranty, just cash it in before time keeps eating it up and then lower the price even more. Save it while you can. There are 3rd companies willing to cover the E55 these days for the new owner, not the MB warranty of course, but good enough for most. I know you didn't ask, just my 2 cents. GL!

Yea - thank you... the deal with the extended warranty is really simple... If I turn it in before the end of the 1 year CPO, which is Feb. of 2010... I get all my money back... so it it not really a negotiable item in that I have no incentive to discount the extended warranty. That is why I haven't been pushing it. I figure ultiamtely, the car will sell with the orignail CPO until Feb. of 2010... and that will be it..
