Looking for a SL55 with black or red interior
hey guys i am in the market to buy a sl55 not sure what year but i know i want a black exterior color with either black or red interior. i would like as many options as possible.
i don't want to spend more than 45k.
if you, or know some one who has one please let me know.

Usually for $45k, it would be out-of-warranty 2004 or 2005, which I don't recommend at all. I'm selling my 2006 SL55 black/black with warranty, I'm asking only $48k. I can work with you on price, but prolly can't go that low.

There is a 2005 SL55 Black/Berry w/ cheap aftermarket wheels, in Bel Air, Maryland at a dealer called Auto Showcase. It's listed on Ebay and autotrader. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT purchase this car. It was one of the ones I looked at recently before purchasing my SL600. It's a complete hunk of crap. Drove like hell, made all kinds of noises, and was completely filthy inside. I had to wash my hands after driving it.
Stay away.
Also, please reconsider your price ceiling. These cars are either Jekyll or Hyde and purchasing the cheapest one you can find will most likely cause headaches down the road. It took me 3 months of daily searching to find mine. I also was stuck in Black or white with berry interior. I ultimately settled for a black on black w/ 12K miles and a warranty until 2013 or 82K total miles. I paid a couple grand more than I originally wanted but this car is in brand new condition and so much nicer than anything else I test drove in the last 3 months. Don't let price be your deciding factor w/ these cars.

2003 S500; 2004 E55; 2006 SL55 030; 2013 CLS63
Donny - I have an '06 SL55 with the 030 package (SL65 front bumper, limited slip, brake upgrade, 19" SL65 wheels, alcantara steering wheel and shifter and factory delimited to 186 mph), 040 black w/ charcoal. Pano, distronic, parktronic, bi-xenons; 24K miles with warranty until 10/09 (MB exended warranty still available). Have window sticker showing $151,300 MSRP. Was this at Copley Motor Cars? I am looking for an black SL55 but did not like that red interior. I'm surprised that the car was not up to snuff; Copley has a great reputation on the Land over Defender community.
