CLK63 Black Series
FS: 2008 CLK63 AMG Black Series (lease transfer)

The time has come to hand off my black series lease to another fanatic. Hopefully I'll find another one in the future, but for now I've decided to start a consulting business and money is tight. As such I'm looking for someone who is willing to take over the lease as is - I will not be providing any other incentives. If you are interested or have any questions please feel free to email me at mobile@neotek-industries.com.

Thanks,
Jeff

Prolly no point in asking, but,

do you know what it takes to get out from MB at this point? Thanks...and maybe I missed it, but what is the ISD? You can PM me if you'd rather not discuss it here.

I don't think I understand your question. For me to get out of the lease I can do one of 2 things: voluntary repossession (not going to happen) or find someone who wants to take over the lease agreement and pay the remaining term. The process as I understand it is pretty simple: I just log into the MB Financial website, provide an email address for the interested party, and MB contacts you with appropriate paperwork to see if you qualify. If so you pay the transfer fee ($545) and arrange shipping or fly in pick up the car.

I'm also not sure what the acronym "ISD" means and a google search turned up nothing.

I just got a payoff quote if you don't want to takeover the lease, $92,598. The quote is valid until 1/30/2010.

If you were to finance:
$85,000 + 7.5% sales tax = $90,950
$90,950, 8% APR, x48 months = $2,220.35/mo ($106,576.80 sum)

$95,000 + 7.5% sales tax = $102,125
$102,125, 8% APR, x48 months = $2,493.16/mo ($119,671.68 sum)

Just for comparison he's how much you would pay to lease a SL550 with zero options:

This is the cheapest Mercedes-Benz lease on the books for a CLK63BS (the others are $2,400-$2,600), but no one is saying it's cheaper than buying with cash in hand.

First, 8% is the 48mo used auto rate from bankrate.com which is what most people will be using.

Second, most people don't use a lease as a means to purchase the car, they use it as a means to drive the car while it's new with the intention of driving a new car at the end of term. At the end of your 60 month term you now have over 100k invested in a car that might be worth 30. Now you have to sell an older high mileage car that would be hard for anyone to finance. I'm just going to turn mine in and get my next car with no worries.

Additionally if I want to transfer it's a simple $500 fee and another driver can assume the lease. With a finance you'll be paying off the interest over the life of the term weather or not you keep it to the end.

If you have $84k cash in your hand then by all means, buy the eBay car.

Wow, that's an insane rate.

So if someone bought out my lease at that rate the payments would be $1,704.91 for 60 months.

Actually it is my daily driver, and no, I don't consider myself a "baller" - my other cars are a 10 year old corvette and a 20 year old BMW. I'm trying to swap this with someone else who can appreciate the low lease payments so I can qualify for a business loan to start things back up. If I had $10k to throw on top to make it an attractive lease buyout and purchase I would, but right now that's not in the cards so I'm just trying to defend the merits of taking over the existing lease. Obviously it's not the right deal for you, and I apologize if I was harsh or out of line earlier.

Take care,
Jeff

That's just uncalled for and I hope your stay in this forum (let alone the thread) is short lived.

Prove it, I think you're full of it. 22 years old and your daddy can buy anything cash? Obviously not you, you can't even type.

A cursory look at your previous posts proves you're full of it and all over the place. Claiming everything from an '02 E55 to a C230 to god knows what.

You're a poser and a lurker.

I don't believe you. I'm calling you out. Prove it or ban.

P.S.- Your attempt at insult was a shining example of self-ownage, and I'm not married.

Here's a quote from a thread in 2005. First of all, the story is complete and utter BS, as if you'd hit any cop at 80mph that's agg assault with a deadly weapon and you'd be in jail. Second of all, in it you claim you're over 19, but in this thread you say you're 22. 2005-2010 = Five years, that would make you 24 if you weren't completely full of it.

You're a kid, and a liar.
