My price range is in the 20's or low 30's if its worth it

However:
I prefer black and it's 2 years older than the oldest I would want, I also would like one with a few less miles.
Your price is pretty good though, right around "Excellent" on KBB. Good luck

update: closest CPO I could find for a good price is in Raleigh, NC....400 miles from me haha

they are asking $33k for an 05 with 54k on it...
according to KBB,
Private party value is about $26k
while Sugg. retail value is $30k
I think it only has premium 1 and no NAV (which is OK, I think you can add it on, right?)

What do you guys think? I emailed them and got a response, and basically asked for more pictures and info of exact packages on car, door digns, IC pump, etc.
Do you think an unreasonable offer would be 29k?

Price is a bit on the high side. Be patient because there are better deals out there.

No, I haven't tried either. I'm trying to find a CPO and MBUSA's site only showed like 12 total haha, this one being the closest/most reasonably priced.
I'll check those sites now during class to see whats there. If I can get these guys down to 28 ish then I would feel more comfortable. Then it's basically like trading my car + mods for a new car haha....
plus, I really want a black one.
can't wait.

Yeah I'm trying... autotrader only has two besides the one I listed above within 500 miles, and both are $35-36k and silver. haha

Cars.com has the exact same two.
These are for certified cars, of course.

for non-certified, Autotrader has the same 3 while cars has about 13 to look through.... time to sift

I obviously like the first one, but it's been modded with pulleys, etc. so you know it's been beat up (most of the AMGs probably are beat up anyway) It's similar to the original one I was looking at, price and color wise haha.
I really want a black car, and will maybe settle for a flint or other dark grey if the deal is good.
besides these, I'm still looking around used car dealers and such, because I really want a CPO one but if the deal is great, I'll get an aftermarket warranty or something.....

Yes, buy a Black E55. Your paying a lot of money so make sure it's the one you want. Do not settle for anything else. You will not regret it.

hey jbaker, im looking to possibly sell my 2005 E55, been juggling with the idea for a while. dont know if youre interested for a modded E55 or not. I have Stage I EvoSport Pulley and Tune on the vehicle and had gotten it as a CPO in May 2009 and since then have had many kinks worked on by Mercedes. Its in excellent condition, Black on Black< pano roof. Has 52000 miles on it. i'm within your range. if youre interested, i can send you some pics.

sounds pretty nice. Mileage is leaning a bit towards too much for what I want, but if its a good deal then it wont bother me for ~10k miles haha

been emailing and talking to a few of the sellers....
I can pretty much get any of them for about 30, so it really comes down to what is actually avail. in December.
I have a few of them checking on their IC pumps, getting me more pictures, carfax, etc....so we'll see what happens.

hahaha the funky smell!! i forgot about that! i brought it in for the smell and mercedes couldnt figure it out. was told i probably ran something over. havent smelled it since. also, the fuel sending unit on the car has been changed 2months ago, thats a huge problem with these cars, there was a recalled, was changed under the recall and then failed again and i changed it.

Haha well hopefully there is no more funky smell or anything.....also, do you think the fuel sending unit will have a tendancy to fail again?

should be good for at least 2 years. theres someone that started a complaint with mbusa and i think is trying to start a lawsuit for mb to cover these parts even after warranty expires. https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...all-bombs.html
