Hello,

My parents have left me in charge of selling some of their cars, they want to get rid of their 1986 560sel. Its got just under 80k miles, light metallic blue over a navy blue interior. The asking price is $13,500 but I am more than willing to negotiate a deal. We purchased the car from the original owner (an Italian gentleman and his wife), and it has always been meticulously cared for. As it sits, it has 77,964 miles. We have invested just over $7,000 into the maintenance of this beauty.

One observation for conversation:

Did you notice that is has both the upright star and hood badge (on the top of the grille)? I think that's damn funny considering the crap flying around in this thread

That is very funny, I personally do not like it when people put a star in the grill and then have the upright star on the hood itself. Like my Sl500, it has the star in the grill and the flat badge on the top of the hood, and even that is a bit overkill. I think just one is fine. And if I was going to keep my SL I think I would remove the flat badge on the top of the hood and have a paint shop fill the two holes. But that's just me. With that said, For some reason I am used to seeing the two badges on this car
