2006 E55 36k For Sale

Hey guys,

I hate to be selling my baby but I might need to part with her because I really need an suv. Wife and I recently had a baby and we are in need of something bigger. This kills me and by far this is the best car I have ever owned, but reality is I need something bigger. Please don't take this as a sign of desperation and make any low ball offers. The car is a 2006 platinum blue E55 with 36k. Clean history, stock, no mods, always serviced at Mercedes. It has brand new Continenental dws all seasons(drove in the snow) and it has a 5 year 100k chrysler warranty on it (max care covers everything except wear and tear items). Asking 37.5K negotiable.

Can't get any better then this but i will wait to hear what forum experts have to say.
Don't be too surprised if they price it at $30,000

Lovely car and great price.... Some one should grab this puppy

i know, i am sure they will chime in but honestly i checked the 5 or 6 that are for sale at local dealers and my car is still a bargain compared to them. One had my exact mileage and they were asking 39k with no warranty and i only found 1 with 31k miles at 35k again with no warranty and at a shady dealership. All the other cars had over 50k miles and were rough with no warranties .

I don't know.......these cars are getting very hard to come by. This is a super low mileage one with a hell of a warranty. It is the most desired year, 2006. The only thing for me is the color. Not a light blue fan. But it is rare, you wont probally see another. The pricing is close IMO. Its a nice clean 06 with warranty and low mileage. Maybe a little high in price. I think low 30s is more in line maybe mid 30s.

I agree, I found only 4 of them in the nyc area. I said the price was negotiable so I am willing to take a lower offer just not any offers that are unreasonable.

If it's the color I think, it's really very sharp. Kind of an icy blue - not light or feminine at all. A very nice choice for people that don't have to have some super macho color.

Hey, as the owner of an almost-as-low-mile '06, the more it sells for, the happier I am!

that car looks very clean. your chances of selling it privately are very high.

the problem is the color. it is known as the "maxipad" color and is not well received especially when not on a clk350 convertible.

on the money side it is a 29k wholesale car so i would say 32k for it would be a fair price where you can see some action. i would list for 34.9 to differentiate it from the dreamers at over 35k and take it from there... 34k might be possible for the right ****-retentive buyer that will appreciate cleanness over color.

Hard to really know where the price is without seeing your list of options. What does the car have? Has the car ever had any paint work at all?

nice. coming from a guy that thinks a car is 37k and then in another thread thinks similar but better car is 29k...

i think you should keep veeeery quiet when it comes to pricing as you tend to set unrealstic expectations with forum sellers...

on a unrelated thought- i rarely buy cars from manheim...

on the subject of warranty- i have factored 50 cents on the dollar for the warranty into my retail pricing. you have to realize that a dealer will tradein this car for 25k if that much...

That was funny brutha.

On a side note, I happen to love this color and for what it is, the e55 is rare, clean and well priced imo. I think alot of sellers will start to get bites with all the tax refund money starting to trickle in over the next couple of months.

When I think maxi pads! I think red! lol. That's the first time I heard that. I usually get compliments on the color. It's the color that Mercedes itself placed ads of the car in so I am surprised to hear that!

The car is the standard E55, no nav, keyless or pano roof. It does have the blue tooth and all the other features that are standard. The car has never been hit or had any paint work done to it. I will post more pics as soon as I get a chance.

that might be a problem.. i saw the lack of pano, but assumed you have at least nav. do you have hids?

for some reason people always associate lux cars with built-in nav although a $100 tomtom is light years ahead of any german nav. as a result no-nav are very hard sellers. ditto for hids.

Not to hijack the thread but is that the same price range for my silver 2006 with NAV, dynamic seats and 53k miles?

IMHO, no, for a couple of reasons. My estimate is these cars depreciate 25 cents/mile. You're almost 20K miles above izzy, so that's five grand less, in round numbers. You don't mention a warranty, so am assuming you don't have any. That's about two grand less, as compared to the good coverage izzy has.

You do have nav and dynamic seats, so add $500.

If izzy is worth mid-30s, then I think you're about a $28K-$29K car.

BTW, I always start off "not to hijack, but..." when I'm hijacking a thread too.
