It's a 2010 with the M Sport package. She loves it. I really like the interior/pano roof, will make for nice road trips with our Labs. I swapped her 650 for an M5 for me.

Once my wagon sells I will be without any MBs, but I'm sure it won't be long before I'm back in something from AMG.

The 2 winter seasons I drove it were mild, but the car was my DD. I ran the 19s for 9mos and the stock 18s with Blizzaks for 3mos.

Newbie question

the E63 wagon is my dream car but I'd like to engage with some actual owners to discover if I am just 'dreaming' or not

What is the actual mileage per gallon, i know it depends but what is a realistic number at say a cruise of my normal 75- 80 mph highway with cruise set.

is the maintenance ridiculous? can I take it to my own mechanic or is it so complex only the dealer can work on it?

Maint is not that bad if you can turn your own wrenches or have a good independent shop that can do the work for you.

Start with a car that has a good maint history and has been taken care of, this is more important than anything else. When looking at potential cars, ask the dealer or owner for a Vehicle Maint Inquiry (VMI) to scan the history. Also check the autocheck and carfax reports for possible wreck history.

Guys, i'm new to the boards and funny i came across this post while googling the vin number off of that yellow car.
I am close to finishing the sale of my yellow 05 viper and this car has really caught my eye!
I just can't figure out why it is so expensive??
does anyone know for sure if this car actually was produced yellow?
why would they want so much more for it?
I would be a player on this car in the low 30's but it seems i may have to go with the s65 which is my 2nd choice.

any additional info about this yellow car would be greatly appreciated.

she ain't exactly special. I don't see any mention of nav, nasty scratch on RR, Hankook tires, front valance needs touch up, and I don't see any mention of nav. And I wouldn't even make a phone call unless the mileage issue was clear.
