I'm very excited. I have some very simple and clean mods planned. Nothing crazy. I also look forward to keeping her in the stable for a while.

So, buyer beware. But my search continues.

P.S. I LOVE the new 2014 W212 E63 4-matic wagons...FINALLY seeing many smart dealers ordering white/blk combos. For much of 2000's, have seen VERY few white/blk wagons, let alone E55/E63 wagons. Bottom line, usually AMGs drop 70% from MSRP within 5 yrs, so we''ll see what happens on these.

Going back to E55/E63 wagon, I think the challenge is that it's not just a tiny supply, but the demand is also quite small(relative to other cult cars, ie. NSX, last year of aircooled Porsche, etc...). From my searches, most current owners want a PREMIUM and it's been tough trying to find a motivated seller - even when there are issues(such as from the OP).
P.S. Let me know the next new car that I can drive 6 yrs and retain 50% MSRP

The next car you can buy and retain 50% of it's value...HMMM. Best guess: Jag F-Type. Surely a future classic. Might not retain it's value in 5 years, but in 30+ years, it'll be a collectors car.

For some reason Vette's do too. Audi A5's hold their value very well also and a future classic.(Preferably a S5 or RS5)
