Smiles and some tears - pulled over by the man twice already...I know the Texas speed traps, other states not so much! Luckily my wallet is only $64 lighter (one ticket for 47 in a 35). My wife suspects a pattern may be present here...Originally Posted by trackjunky

[QUOTE=FASN8N;6063777]Looks like member Avantabe's old wagon is for sale. Now with 42,859 miles for $39,990

Drove this one home today. Just a 15 mile drive and got several thumb's-up, a tip-of-the-hat from a guy towing a giant speedboat in a GL63, and another guy yelling "nice wagon, man...enjoy!" out his window. Crazy. Wonder if I'll get so much attention when I shave off the badges?

Congrats on picking this up....I've been wondering why no one else snatched it up yet, especially since they dropped the price a few times. I've been talking to the guys at the dealership and really wanted to buy it, but we are in the middle of closing on a house so my hands are tied for another few weeks as far as any other financing is concerned. Thanks. They came down a fair amount from their last price and let me take it out to get a PPI - very clean cosmetically and compression test was good. I think a lot of people were turned off by no P2 or xenons. I just wanted clean, low miles, and way-back jumpseats for the kiddos to wave bye-bye to tailgaters.

FASN8N, what is your thoughts on 80K on these AMG motors. My current 06 E55 only has 26K on it and is perfect... I wonder how these motors start to feel at 80.

ExploreThat white E55 Wagon is at MB Seattle. I need to head to the dealer early next week- might as well check it out while I'm there.

E55 Wagons are almost as rare as R63s, There's someone in my neighborhood that has the E63 Wagon but I have yet to see an E55 Wagon, However I saw an R63 parked next to my 2 weeks ago SL65 and I still gave that guy props just because how car that car is now

I think the cars are darn near bullet proof if serviced regularly. I had mine from 55k miles to 115k miles and it did not miss a beat.Originally Posted by 503Tim

I did an oil analysis at every oil change and saw no significant wear over that time period.

Don't worry about checking it out, looks like listing is already removed. It is likely sold. These cars don't stick around too long.Originally Posted by xxGenericSNxx

I went and saw the white E55 wagon in person today. It shows very well for an 8 year old car, only noticeable issue was the bottom of the front bumper is a little scrapped up but I was told it'd be fixed before sold.

I've been talking to the salesman about the white e55. I'm heading down there Monday, so hopefully it doesn't sell before then!

I work at the dealership where the 80k miles white wagon is being sold and took it in on trade--so feel free to PM me or ask me any and all questions. CarFax shows religious maintenance. Car was adult owned by someone who has several E55 sedans and replaced this wagon with a 2013 designo Alanite Matte Grey E63 wagon. I drove this car all the way back from Portland to Seattle (3 hours) in pounding rain and the car was an absolute champ. Very well maintained by an adult owner who has had several E55 sedans.
I have pictures for anybody who would like to see them. PM me your email.

Price drop on mine if anyone is interested. Haven't really been in a rush to sell for the last few months - its a niche car in a niche market, gotta wait for the right buyer...and in the meantime I just drive it and enjoy it! Here is the Autotrader ad: http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...ngId=364509166
New price $34,900
I don't know if I told this group, but had the transmission rebuilt and upgraded in April. If it needs something done, it gets it done. That was the last major thing that wasn't replaced/repaired/upgraded by me already. Recently MB inspection, and only thing they saw was uneven wear on the rear tires, so they are getting replaced. HELL of a ride.
Also here is the folder with pictures, video, dyno sheets, build photos: https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=16930...FTA1TGrCrpltEE
