Looks like several E55 Wagons listed on Autotrader these days. Most of them seem to have been listed for quite some time other than the newly listed 160k mile blue on blue one for $20k
If anyone has intel on the Peoria, IL wagon please PM me, planning on taking a look ASAP. Prefer not to drive 5 hours if there are known issues. Thanks!
I brought my wife and kids down to see it earlier tonight. I called in advance and was told it would be gassed up and ready to go when I got there. In reality, it was in the shop getting looked over to figure out what it needs. As it turns out, it needs plenty. All the usual items you would expect at this mileage (transmission mounts, engine mounts, valve cover gaskets, tailgate shocks, etc). It has NOT had the head bolts changed out. I skimmed through the printout of service records. The car looked very tired. I know it hasn't been detailed yet, but I don't envy whoever has to do that work. It looks like they were using it as a mobile pet detailing vehicle. I am actually very interested to see how they bring it up to par. The front end has a clear bra on it but the bumper is trashed in several spots. It will need to be removed. It was tough to tell if there is paint damage underneath or just clear bra damage. You can actually see it in some of their photos in the listing if you look closely.
If you are looking for a garage queen, this wouldn't fit the bill. As a drivers car, I assume it would be fine once they address everything. As it sits now, I would run very fast away from it. If everything that needs to get addressed does get addressed, it has potential. The color is really spectacular looking in person.
They are going to call me when its ready to actually be test driven. The dealership is full of totally competent mechanics and they have always gone above and beyond to help me out. I have no doubts that they will bring it up to where it should be. If I were seriously looking for an e63 wagon, this could work. It would all depend on your expectations and needs.
I've got a Capri Blue on blue. 2006 with 44k on it. Sweet ride. 5 years, when I had like 18k on it, ago someone wanted to buy it for $30k. Glad I never sold it.

That is an outstanding E55 Wagon! I would never sell that car and keep it good condition because its likely one of the best Capri Blue examples that remains. Capri Blue is one of the best colors for the E55 Wagon.
