Wow, that car is identical to mine, except the suspension. I'd raise it ASAP. The wheels are so right for this car!

Is $30K a realistic price for that car nowadays? That's what I paid for mine w similar mileage 3.5 years ago...

I bought the car in Boston, drive it home to SoCal then turned around and sold it to this guy. The car has major rust on the driver side rear wheel well. It should come with a binder full of records. There's a reason it's been on the market for a while. I think he tried to pull some **** with the mileage, If I recall last time I ran the carfax. I let him fill out the title and I think he jacked it up lol.

both my mechanic and gent who just bought my car looked at that car and both said it was in bad shape. Think whoever buys it can probably get it under $20K. It has been for sale for a LONG LONG TIME.

The Mill Valley flint grey one just sold too - was for sale for a long time, but he was asking a premium - was asking 32k but sold for 28K (so I'm told) - 65K miles

There was a reason for that. I had been talking with him for awhile and we finally put a deal together. The car is pretty amazing. Had a PPI done and passed with flying colors. Unfortunately, it's about as far away as you can get from me in the US, so I'm having it shipped out. I'm super stoked and excited. Thinking about having it dropped off around Denver and finishing the drive myself!

Forum search shows this was bought by uberwag back in Nov 2012. Was listed on Autotrader back then for $21k with 96k miles. That seller was in Pasadena, then went to Orlando, and now is in Kentucky.


Interesting to see where this one goes since it's an auction.

This one has been listed on another forum (6 speed online) since september of last year for $28k, and he just asked to take the ad down today - i'm guessing because BAT makes you take down all other ads before they let you list a car up for auction on their website.

i remember over the years when that car sold - they did alot of work to get in the shape it is today - still a good example - someone is getting a car that has all the cobwebs fixed!!

Today on the highway I saw a E55 in S210 form... Were any sold in the US or did this person "up-badge"? Appeared to be OEM AMG monoblock wheels and lowered conservatively.

There was one at the AMG Private Lounge gathering at Laguna Seca last year, along with an S203 C32 AMG wagon as well. Both imported and CARB certified.

Keep your eyes on BringATrailer.com. I bought a very clean 2006 E55 AMG Wagon there in December, and since then they have had several nice ones available at prices around $22K.

The S210 E55 Wagon was never officially imported to the United States by MBNA. However, some owners privately imported them to the US and a few owners swapped W210 E55 drivetrains into US spec S210 bodies.

Has anybody looked at this one? Aside from the aftermarket radio, mismatched rear tow hook cover and and scrapes on the lower front bumper.

The lack of options is also something to consider. This car only has option W60 Burl Walnut Wood Trim and 526 Premium Package. It is missing desirable options like 319 Lighting Package, 844 Third Row Seat, and 889 Keyless Go.

Just by looking at the photos. The lack of pop-out headlight washer doors in the bumper indicates the lighting package was not ordered, so the car has halogen headlights. You can see that it does not have a keyless go start button atop the gear shift lever. And no seatbelts in the cargo area indicates no third row seat.


Heated/cooled seats, drive dynamic seats, and rear window blinds were all part of the P1 package (as was navigation) and all these are present, though the Nav is not so relevant with the aftermarket head unit.


And of course it's pewter, an acquired taste if ever there was one.

Good to know. I am new to W211s but I've read up on the majors services that would be required. Did the stock NAV unit control other things related to the car? Would it be worth it to find a stock one, assuming the install was clean. Also kind of wondering how easy would it be to install third row seats. Any thoughts? Probably far away from the list of things I'd do, but I am just curious.

Anywho, it's going to get a PPI tomorrow so I guess we will see what they say.

Oh and I kind of digging the pewter, much better than the typical silver and black.

I took a look at this car a couple months back. I stopped by twice and drove it twice as well. I was seriously on the fence about it but in the end, I decided to hold off. I did like the color, the car was clean, the wheels look freshly painted and are in great shape. I didn't like the guy I was talking to, the car has no records other than what's in the Car Fax. When I drove it, the S/C bearing sounded awful and definitely needed changing. I'm hoping they changed it (they said they would before selling). The owner seemed cool and the car was nice. I didn't like the A/M head unit and really wanted a stock car. With the lack of records, lack of options and what I felt was a high price, I passed and waited. My new wagon was delivered last week and I'm super stoked. In the end, it seemed like a pretty good car as long as they fix the bearing and broken driver's fog lamp. Good luck in your search!
