The World hates the ML55.

Over a month ago, I ordered a Green filter from autoanything.com, still hasnt arrived, I call the website, they claim that the direct manufacturer still doesnt have it. And now they're claiming that they will have 10 by the end of the week, which honestly I think is BS. There are virtually no upgrades for this car, and if there are, they are attached to astronomical prices.

If the green filter never ships, should I just cancel the order and get a K&N instead?

no it will kill your Mass air sensor... the oil from the K&N causes problems with it

The K&N doesn't kill your mass air sensor.. It's the over-oiling after wash that kills it.. you should be fine with K&N

Neal's hands are empty too.

I'm assuming Green doesn't have stock right now.

2003 E55 & 2014 GL550
Wonder if any of the other model filters would fit the ML. Eurotech was the best...ordered and received Greens same week.

No problems on the E55 BTW....same as K & N though, basically same filter only Green. Just my humble.

Eurotech website

Do a search for Green...only way to find um.

One thing I realized is that the airbox for the ML320 and 55 are exactly the same size. Gruppe M makes a ML320 carbon fibre intake, im thinking it is at least 1/2 the price of a renntech box, and they claim it delivers 12-18hp gain. Im a little skeptical, but it definetly delivers some gain. Since the ML320 box is the same the gruppe M intake should fit my 55 no sweat. Still no green filter.

Right...What's really under the hood.

And the ML hasn't been to the dealer in 4 months! And it's only been there 4 times throughout it's lifetime, for non-TSB related work. For the TSB stuff, it's only been out 5 times.

Use the CF Intake with the K&N Filters...should work nicely.

55 has cold air intake from the factory. Thank for the nice response on my offer to help you with the filter. And I love these folks with the 320s that scoff at the 55s or talk about the 63 but will never have either.

I put a brand new K&N in my GS460, the directions never said to let it sit out and breathe before putting it in the car... and it killed my MAF sensor. $180 later for a new MAF Sensor, and a green filter, and it was good to go.

Never had an issue on any other car, but thesis my first MAF car in a LONG time.

The oil isn't always a good thing...
