CAR AND DRIVER 0-60 4.6 sec

...........looks like no one with an ML63 ever visits the drag strip. This is exactly the same time someone posted on dragstrip.com. I notice there is no timeslip, so the person just lifted the magazine stats and posted in on dragtimes.com.

...........the 0-60 time of 4.6 secs is in line with a low 13sec 1/4 mile time so it makes sense.

My favorite quote from the article is this...
"When it's not towing anything, the ML63 blasts to 60 in 4.6 seconds, as quick as a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, which should never tow anything heavier than Paris Hilton before lunch."
A long article that saddly is only about 20% ML63. Most of the article is Sprint Cars and Airstream trailers.

Around Autumn 2007 Porsche will make available their Power Kit for the Turbo. The Power Kit is rumored to add 40 to 50 horsepower to the base turbo and take the top speed up to 280 km/h.
The horsepower wars continue..........

Yes, there are pictures at the Porsche German website, www.porsche.com.
Revised front and back. Interior stays the same. All new engines, the base Cayenne V6 is now 3.6 liters with 40 more HP. The Cayenne S has grown to 385 HP. All models get about 8% better fuel economy than the models they replaced. They will be out in Feb. 2007 as 2008 models.

Facelift looks okay, a bit more agressive but uninspiring overall. Under the hood is another story
I wonder what the pricing is going to look like?
My SUV (X5 4.8is) isn't due for replacement for another year or so, and so far I'm leaning heavily towards the ML63. BUT, rumor has it that the replacement for my 4.8is will be a TWIN TURBO 5.0 v8. Can't wait to see that one.
HP wars are good...
