Funny that you ask... I just filled up today and was determined to see how far I could get on this tankfull. It's been hard all day, but I've been a very law abiding citizen. It'll be a mixed highway and city driving tankful. I'll let you know the outcome.

Hats off to Steve, who (doubtlessly) spends more per tank than anyone else here...

20+ to list......
Almost 300 miles out of mine, but it's really hard not to give it a bit more, especially going on ramps or coming out from toll plazas.

I don't know how I'm gonna stay out of large doses of throttle application during break-in (assuming I follow factory recommendations) -- that sound under WOT is amazing!

I put in 22 gallons and the odometer read 235 miles. That would come out to about 10.7 mpg. I do almost all city driving so MPG is bad. But NOTHING beats my 2006 M5 that I had. I regularly got 8.5mpg just driving around town by myself.

Just got back from a 200 mile trip today. I managed just over 170 miles from half a tank. It's showing 17mpg, which assuming 1 Imperial gallon is equiv to 1.2 US gallons, should mean that I achieved an average of 20.4mpg (if comparing with a US car).

Final results from a fully loaded tank to sucking fumes empty. 357 miles in mixed highway (60%) and city (40%) driving. Trip computer says milage was 14.5 mpg. My own computations of 24.4 gallons of gasoline at today's fill up for 357 miles is about 14.6. I was surprised at the accuracy of the cars trip computer.

Keep in mind that I was practicing pretty sedate driving. At no time through that tankful did I redline the car, only downshifting occaisionally to pass another car.

This time I'm gonna see how fast I can burn through a tankful to get an idea of the worst milage available.

On a good note... at $2.12 per gal for premium, a tankful was only $52.00 today!

How large are your tanks?

After I fill up it says aprox. 220 miles. Average MPG is around 14 something. This is all according to the computer though. And I've been told that it over measures MPG. And I'm not even close to doing WOT when driving...when I am flooring it my mileage drops down to 12-ish.

Granted, it is winter...

Yeah I know... Sorry Doc. I know I couldn't afford to drive a gas pig like this in Europe! Maybe look on the bright side... with all those speed trap cameras in the UK you probably get more miles to the tankful??
