How hard is it to controll a 4wd drift? I mean I really loved to drift out of corners in my E55 but that was pretty easy... I'm Also was very good at drifting my old ML55 in winter on winter tyres, but never tried drifting AWD on dry tarmac
I bet 60/40 split that ML63 has helps!
tell us more !
Maaaaaaan thats sweet video! I want one even more now!
I actually found the 4.8is even easier to drive on the limit. Around my way several of the UK bike magazines do much of their magazine shoots and I used to enjoy getting my 4.8is drifting sideways for their camera lenses (particularly with one of their sports bikes also in the same frame).
In a car such as the ML63 the technique is to carry more speed than usual into the corner, then just as you turn in, lift off the throttle to transfer more weight to the front-end and then accelerate hard out of the corner. With any luck you can avoid the understeer (push) and transition straight to a four-wheeled or rear-wheeled drift.
It's actually a little easier than a lighter car, because the taller SUV telegraphs the weight-shift more clearly and gives more time to react. The downside though is that if you get it wrong, it takes a lot more road space to correct.. (hence my advice not to try this unless you have prior experience).
It's good fun though!

, great tips and yea dont try it on the road and dry safe!P.s do you have any kind of exhaust work? for some reason it sounds very mean!!!!
p.s. perhaps this video helps illustrate to those who have not driven one, yet think a mid-range E-class could be quicker than an ML63. Bear in mind also that each time I came into the camera's view I had 'just' begun accelerating no more a 100 or so yards ago (i.e. it hadn't needed room to build up that speed)..
Feel free to take some more videos if you're ever bored

a good driver in an e350 will beat an average driver in a ml63 on the street
suv's arent easy to drive fast b/c its intimidating, that was my whole point, on a track, where there is nothing to hit, there will be no contest
i beat an e39 m5 while driving my dads ml55
