ML 63 AMG 2008 model or the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo '07 model
i've decided to order one of these both and I just want to know your minds.
I must choose one of them i've driven both and i think by the
Porsche Cayenne Turbo is the drivefeeling a little bit better but the problem is
that it needs the turbo to fill up first before i can get the power of the engine,
by the ML you feel the power directly, help me to choose guys

I would suggest you to order an ML63,as its faster and in addition it will last longer due to the Cayenne Turbo being a facelift model and 2-3 years left until the next generation comes out.

If you search through the old threads you will find one from Dr D. Evo magazine tested the ML63 on a track vs the porche. The ML was quicker. 0-60, 1/4 mile and lap time I believe.
Quick as an M5 on that track. Faster than a SL65. 2 seconds slower than a 997. It costs less too. If you are actually going to go off road the porche would be a better choice. Apparently the porche interior is a little nicer too. I suspect that in the real world that they are for all practical purposes extremly close in capability. Which do you like the looks of better? Throw some nice wheels on the ML and lower it. Doesnt even look like the ML500 at all!
Either way you can't loose!

get the ML63 + sprintbooster plus you can get 8% off the ML & only a cup of coffee from Porsche (if you're lucky)
I have had both & the Turbo lag in the CT will drive you crazy if you know what the ML can do.
ML has grown on us as we were'nt too keen in the beginning, typical MBisms.
Very happy with it no though

I would save a little cash and get the Jeep SRT 8...unfortunately both of these cars depreciate faster than you can drive them off the lot...if I had to choose though, I'd go with the '08 ML63

The Jeep is great if money is an issue. If it isn't then its not really in the Porsche/ML63 category. Its been specifically built for 0-60 and off-ramps and a pricepoint. SRT and Jeep could have easily finessed it but then it wouldn't meet the pricepoint. Suspension isn't ideal for long drives and bumpy curves.

one important point you should consider!
Cayenne with PDCC will knock spots of the ML
when cornering at high speed.
It all depends how you intend to drive either beast.

The Cayenne TURBO is a work of art.I got an 05 turbo S (special order-Fully equipped- Full CF-Rare factory bodykit). It drives just like a car and its fast as hell. There is no stock suv that will beat it. The only thing I hate about it, Is not feeling the speed at high mph, and poor service at the dealership. Its my no. 1 choice out of all the Suvs Ive owned. IMO It has better speed, handling and Elegance than the ML.

I’ve owned the 04 TT with power kit for over two years it was an amazing truck, the only two issues were, the turbo lag and weight. Now I have ML63 with “sprintbooster” upgrade and let me tell you ,this track feels very light and it definitely faster then my old C.TT.. Also ML63 new on board computer and the speedshift transmission are way more advance…I love Porsches and believe me as soon as they come up with the new model in 2010 I well be the first one on list, For now after owning two of them I choose the Mercedes..

I would take the ml over the turbo but not the turbo S but then again The turbo S costs 30gs more if well equipped. Go with the ml. Its a nice car too.

I love the ML's looks and would therefore go for the ML 63, but I think the more reasonable choice is the Cayenne Turbo.
Nice comparison video:

NO, I highly doubt it. Maybe the tail lights will hav more of a clear lens but body wise, definetly not. Arent you in germany, I would go to the factory and ask them myself. Dealerships dont know **** over there too?

Than the old Cayenne Turbo, not the ML63. Porsche claims 10-15% better than the old one.
My ML63 is doing around 19l/100km, ie 13mpg. Best I can do in the old Cayenne Turbo on the same route, same rate of acceleration and pace of movement 26l/100km, ie 9mpg. Porsche might beg to differs but my numbers are realworld driving instead of the stupid EPA cycle.
