My Powerchip ECU flash for ML63

Hi guys, well i had my ECU flash done by Powerchip with the latest version of the software incorporating everything that they have learnt from working on a number of C63s.

While i don't have an 'after' set of dynos numbers yet, i can say without hesitation that, having driven the car really hard for the last 2 weeks that this flash has made an enormous amount of difference to the car. It is just simply awesome!!

The way it launches off the line is truly spectacular and i feel that performance no matter where i am in the rev range. I have barely driven the
C63 since i got this done because, combined with the aggressive exhaust note generated by the Mille Miglia custom mufflers, this car is just so much more fun now with a Powerchip flash. I thought it was a great car stock but with the flash it just a different kettle of fish. No CELs yet either (fingers crossed) and i know those guys are only a phone call away were there to be any dramas.

As someone with zero affiliation with Powerchip i would recommend to any ML63 owner to get it done as the difference is just night and day. Kudos to all the guys at Powerchip, the best money i ever spent (well its neck and neck with the Mille Miglia exhaust anyway!).

Next are longtube headers! Should be on by early July.

Yep, it works great! We have a ML63 car we have been doing a lot of work on! Powerchip has been a great help!

BTW, we are doing the long-tube headers RIGHT NOW for the ML63 if you are interested!

thanks

Thats good news.

Where are the headers being made, how long until they are produced, and how much will they be. Do you have any insight into level of performance improvement??

We make the 63 long tubes here in our fab shop at evosport. They are different then the CLK63 BS headers or the C63 headers due to the chassis, but the gains should be the same, which is to say +65-75 HP & +60-70 ft.lbs of torque w/evosport race headers, evosport exhaust & evo2
ECU upgrade. You would need to upgrade the ECU to the stage2 level (which is not a big deal since you already have Powerchip).

You can see more on the 63 headers in this build thread: ** Evosport CLK63 Black Series Project **

You can see more about our 63AMG products here: Mercedes‐Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series (W209) 2008+
* We do not have an ML63 product brochure YET, so this is a good example of what is available *

We finished the C63 headers last week and are in production of 3 sets this week.

We are doing the initial fabrication and install of the FIRST ML63 set this week (one side is done, the second side is progressing nicely). By the end of the week the headers will be done and the jig finalized and we can produce headers and mid X-pipes. Pricing will be finalized at the end of the week once we understand the full scope of work required for each set.

thanks
Brad

It's nice to see some headers for these cars. It looks like there will be some nice gains to be had. I know with our work, we have seen that this is a great motor, that takes very well to tuning.

One of our staff passed away a week ago, so things got slowed down. The car is now done and at paint (for some other work).

The gains should be the same as any of our other 63 long tube headers (c63 or clk63), which is 40-50 hp.

Thanks
brad

Yes, for sure. Will be a week or so, the car is at the body shop.

I will see if we can get it on a AWD dyno too, but we do not have a baseline with this specific car.

thanks

I have done an AWD dyno of my ML. I only did it after i got Mille Miglia exhaust put in though - but before powerchip. I achieved 389hp at the wheels vs the 520hp or so at the engine so look fwd to seeing what number your vehicle puts out.
